Baglamukhi, one of the eighth Mahavidhya. Baglamukhi Jayanti holds a great religious significance among Hindus. This day is being celebrated today i.e., on May 15, 2024. Devotees offer prayers to Goddess Baglamukhi on this auspicious day and they also visit the temple which are dedicated to the Goddess. Baglamukhi Mata is also famous as Pitambara.

The goddess Baglamukhi is in charge of the demons' senses, speech, and intellect.
Pitambara Devi is the name given to the goddess since yellow is her favourite colour. Enemies are destroyed by her. Worshippers of Goddess Baglamukhi who offer prayers receive protection from bad spirits. They never come into contact with bad vibes. It is thought that in order to overcome black magic, the evil eye, dread, anxiety, and depression, followers must worship Goddess Baglamukhi. In order to succeed, devotees who are battling legal issues or attempting to win elections worship Baglamukhi Mata and make prayers to her. In order to get Siddhis, many Tantrics also worship Pitambara Devi.

According to the Hindu scriptures, it is believed that once there was a heavy flood on earth during the time of Satyug and everything was about to get destructed. There was a panic all around and people were dying. Lord Vishnu got worried after seeing the worst situation on the earth and went to Lord Shiva to seek his help but Lord Shiva told him that only Goddess Shakti has the power to calm down the storm and flood. Lord Vishnu strictly penanced the Goddess and she appeared in the form of Baglamukhi at haridra sarovar, which is located in Saurashtra district of Gujrat and saved all the living beings from the demon. Since then, Goddess Bagalmukhi is worshipped with great reverence.

Baglamukhi Jayanti 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Devotees should wear yellow colour clothes before starting puja rituals associated with Goddess Pitambara.
3. Take a wooden plank and spread yellow colour cloth and place an idol or Yantra of Goddess Baglamukhi.
4. Light a diya with desi ghee, offer yellow flowers and yellow sweets and yellow clothes to the Goddess Pitambara.
5. Recite Baglamukhi Kavach and Stotram to remove evil energies.
6. Devotees also visit Baglamukhi temple to offer prayers to the Goddess.
