Booker T, who shot up to popularity and joined the WWE Hall of Fame recently opened up about how he felt that The Hardys’ did not live up to their potential. This comes amidst their departure from WWE as their contracts recently expired. Booker commented on how there was a lack of creative planning from the WWE Management, when it came to the brothers Matt and Jeff. This comes as Matt resigned AEW in April and Jeff followed his lead and resigned two months later. The duo have began performing in TNA already where they recently faced off with The System for the TNA World Tag Team Titles.
This comes after the iconic duo were made to perform in Ladder Matches such as World Wrestling Entertainment. This is where Jeff Hardy broke Sammy Guevara’s nose which eventually led to a chaotic situation, hampering their career. Booker T attended the Hall of Fame podcast and shed light on how he believed the Jacksonville-based company mismanaged the brothers.
Booker T believes that Matt and Jeff Hardy should have been added to the WWE Hall of Fame

Booker says that he believed that trying to recreate the magic from his era was a step in the wrong direction. He shared, "I think they were mismanaged, misused in AEW because they brought the Hardys in and they wanted to recreate the Hardys from when they first came in the WWE and were having ladder matches with the Dudleys and I just thought that was a bad move. The first thing Matt Hardy did was like dive off a scaffold or something, a forklift or something and damn near killed himself. I think the last thing Jeff Hardy was a part of was Sammy Guevara breaking his nose ... that experiment in AEW, it did not work out at all."

In the conversation, Booker also added that he believed that Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy deserved to be inducted to the Hall of Fame. He shared, "I'd love to see both of those guys go into the WWE Hall of Fame. They deserve it. They really do. The body of work those guys put in; the legendary matches those guys had with teams like The Dudleys. I want to see those guys take their rightful place one day. So maybe this is the beginning. Maybe this is the spark."

In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Matt Hardy revealed his plans for the future. He shared, "I would like to do TNA and have a hell of a run there, and then I almost feel like now, just the destiny has revealed itself in many ways, I almost feel Jeff and I, we end up returning to WWE, do something small and then go onto the Hall of Fame. That's a best-case scenario." There have been rumours of Matt and Jeff Hardy returning to WWE for a last match.
