Botches are a common sight in the world of professional wrestling and one particular spot was botched during the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Rollins and Priest. During the match, there was a spot where Priest had to power out of a pinfall attempt, but he didn’t move, forcing the referee to stop at the two-count.
Triple H addressed this situation during the post-event press conference and said that it was a shame because despite putting up an amazing performance during the match, that’s everything that the people would point out when talking about Priest's title defense match.

Production delay could have led to the botched pinfall segment in WWE Money in the Bank

There’s a possibility that the botched pinfall could be because of a delay on the production side of things. When Rollins pinned Priest, the production team was supposed to play Drew Macintyre’s entry music, following which the wrestler would run into the ring and cash in his contract.
That, however, happened a few moments later, which forced the referee to stop at the two-count. The match concluded with Priest retaining his title but it’s likely that people will address the botched spot rather than talking about the match as a whole.
During the press conference, here’s what Hunter had to say:
“I hate for it to be like, ‘Oh yeah, you’re that guy that didn’t kick out the one time’. That’s the shame part to me, because his performance tonight was off the charts, as was Seth’s, as was Drew’s, as was Punk’s, as was everybody else in this show tonight. It’s just the way the world works.”

He further added that he felt Damian Priest was a top tier guy because he managed to achieve so much and he’s worked hard enough to make himself earn the position that he is in currently. He also applauded Drew, Seth, and Punk for putting up an incredible performance during the match.
Although Damian Priest retained his title, it was only because Punk interfered with the match and gave Drew Macintyre a beatdown, otherwise there was a chance of the match going differently.
That said, with Priest still the champion, Seth won’t be able to challenge for the title again. So this might open up some new angles that WWE could possibly explore, including a feud between Rollins and Punk.
