FIR filed against Youtuber Praneeth Hanumanthu after Telugu actor’s complaint; Telangana CM thanks for flagging the video
The Telangana Cyber Bureau has filed an FIR against YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu for making “distasteful” comments in a video. The clip showed a group of men giving a sexual colour to a father-daughter bond, leading to significant online backlash. The YouTuber has tendered an apology.
The matter came to fore after actor Sai Dharam Tej flagged the video, tagging Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy and urging him “to take necessary action to curb horrific acts like this in the future.”
“This is beyond gruesome, disgusting and scary,” the actor said.

“Monsters like these go unnoticed on the very much utilised social platform doing child abuse in the disguise of so-called Fun & Dank. Child Safety is the need of the hour,” he added.
Reports suggest that Praneeth is the son of a senior IAS officer and has appeared in a recent movie. He hails from Andhra Pradesh but the FIR has been registered by Telangana police.

Telangana CM thanks actor for flagging the video

After Tej tagged the CM, he thanked the actor for flagging it. “Thank you for bringing to our notice this issue @IamSaiDharamTej garu. Child safety is utmost priority for our Govt. Will look into this incident and take appropriate action,” he said on X.

The Women Safety Wing of the Telangana Police as well as DGP Telangana Police also responded to the actor's post.
Addressing the inappropriate comments on a child, an FIR has been filed with @TGCyberBureau, and strict actions will follow.
We are committed to protecting all citizens, especially children. Offenders misusing social media for humor will face justice, and our team @TelanganaCOPs is diligently identifying them.
Telangana Govt @TelanganaCMO and Police will intensify efforts to raise awareness about #ChildSafety and responsible social media use.

YouTuber apologises after the social media uproar

The YouTuber apologised after he was called out on social media.
“Edited out the problematic part from the video. Unconditionally and unambiguously apologetic about the lapse in judgement. As a creator, my attempt is always to put a smile. Unfortunately this time I have crossed the line between what is dark and what is distasteful,” he said in a post on X.
