Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that he is fully in sync with Infosys co-founder’s Narayan Murthy’s 70-hour workweek advice. In a podcast interview with ANI, Aggarwal said that he himself works 20 hours a day for all seven days of the week. This is not the first time that Aggarwal expressed his views on increasing the average working hours. He has previously supported Murthy’s view on social media.

Here’s what Ola CEO said on working hours

When asked about Murthy's 70-hour workweek advice, Aggarwal said “I should do more, and I'm fully in sync with his (Murthy's) direction to the youth.
I think he had to come back because of the state his company was in, right? And he was able to contribute after he came back and was able to turn it around. Since then, actually, even Nandan has come back in a non-executive chairman role and contributed further”.
Nandan Nilekani is the co-founder and non-executive Chairman of the Board of Infosys. He is credited for the launch of Aadhaar Card in the country.
"And even when Nandan came back to Infosys. Infosys also took off after that, right? So, I think it's like the same parental thing. You are always connected to your company," he noted.

I was and am a Steve Jobs fan: Ola CEO

Asked whether he is an Apple fan, the Ola CEO also said that he was and is a Steve Jobs fan, adding that he is ‘one of the core inspirations that I grew up with’.
“I use all Apple products and genuinely believe that they are very well engineered and designed products,” he added.

Ola founder discusses ‘techno-colonialism’

During the interview, Aggarwal also discussed Ola’s own Krutrim AI among other topics like importance of supply chain management, India's data being sold back to the country and India’s startup boom. Specifically, he coined the term "techno-colonialism" to describe a modern day phenomena where he said that India's data is exported to global data centers. It is then processed, repurposed and sold back to India in dollars, he added.
