At COMPUTEX 2024, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Foxconn Chairman Young Liu toured the Ingrasys booth, which showcase our collaborative efforts on products like the GB200 NVL72, MGX, and HGX. Huang highlighted the successful partnership, especially evident in the Blackwell product line, acknowledging Foxconn's exceptional vertical integration and vital role in developing the GB200. The visit to the booth set the stage for the announcement of plans to build a cutting-edge computing center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell platform. Featuring superchip GB200 servers with 64 racks and 4,608 GPUs, the facility is set for completion by 2026. We will utilize NVIDIA Omniverse and create digital twins to introduce platforms for smart manufacturing, smart electric vehicles, and smart cities, driving intelligent ecosystems covering AI, electric vehicles, smart factories, robotics, smart cities and other fields. In this week’s imec’s ITF World, Chairman Young Liu shared insights into the Hon Hai (Foxconn)’s technological and business model innovations, highlighting the company's focus on making the impossible possible and the significant role of the Hon Hai Research Institute (HHRI) in driving forward-looking outcomes in R&D leading to technology innovations. Foxconn's technological breakthroughs include the development of 'QCNet', a deep-learning model specific to autonomous driving, and the 'preon' algorithm, a candidate for post-quantum cryptography research. Our commitment to the new frontier is further demonstrated by low-Earth-orbit satellites for proof-of-concept in 6G communications and research into compound semiconductors for electric vehicles. A robust IP portfolio, with over 56,000 patents, is a testament to Foxconn’s innovation. In terms of business model innovation, Foxconn employs a 'Build. Operate. Localize.' (BOL) approach, placing the supply chain in the backyard of the domestic economy. This approach is complemented by the 'Contract Design and Manufacturing Service' (CDMS), a fresh way of considering how the EV industry can compete.
