Aker are delighted to be part of the ecosystem under CGI that has been selected by the UK Government’s Cabinet Office as the Strategic Delivery Partner for the Cabinet Office Digital (CO Digital) department. The five-year contract is valued at $162 million (£100 million). As the ecosystem’s data specialists, Aker Systems will work with CGI and CO Digital in supporting the department’s digital transformation strategy, providing a range of digital, data, and technology services. Had a great day representing Aker Systems delivering lectures around DevOps/Cloud careers for pupils at Frederick Bremer School as part of their STEM Day. Workshop: AWS - managing S3 files via EC2. Terraform Demo. A big thanks to Fahim Haque, Saarrah Moosa and Zainab Jamil for hosting. Brought me back to my teaching days especially seeing how interested so many pupils were. Cloud/DevOps is not a career path many school pupils are aware of and being at the school was a pertinent reminder that this industry needs to do more to increase exposure to attract the best talent.
