The second round of the BFI National Lottery Innovation Challenge Fund is now open for applications. Tackling challenges in the UK screen sector, £175k is available for not-for-profit organisations to explore the use of AI in screen archives which would advance skills, insight and capacity in this area. This call is part of the BFI’s wider exploration of what AI means for the future of the screen sector. Broader issues such as how this technology might support and impact areas such as production, training or skills are all also being explored separately through sector consultation and research, and insights from this may lead to a future Innovation Challenge call. Apply by Thu 5 Sep 2024.
