Inspiring Girls teams up with the Fitch Group! 💫 On Thursday 6th June, we hosted our first event with Fitch Group, Inc. 🎉 The day started with a lively speed networking event at the Fitch office in Canary Wharf. 30 bright Year 9 and 10 students from The Warren School had the unique opportunity to engage with 8 inspiring women role models working at Fitch, learning about their careers and experiences in the world of finance. 💵 This was followed by an insightful panel discussion led by Vicky Booth, CEO of Inspiring Girls, featuring three women in leadership positions at Fitch, who shared their journeys and invaluable advice. 🙋🏽♀️ By understanding the importance of finance and the opportunities it presents, young girls can be better prepared for their futures, contribute to breaking down gender barriers and play a vital role in shaping a more inclusive and diverse financial industry. 🧠 A huge thank you to all role models, panellists and the Warren School for making this a day of true empowerment! 👏 We cannot wait for more events in partnership with Fitch! 🙌🏽 If you would like girls at your school to have opportunities like this, register your interest with us today - link in bio 🔗 #InspiringGirls #FitchGroup #FitchGVW2024 #Diversity #Genderequality

We are proud to once again support the Global Education Challenge in partnership with Social Shifters. This initiative aims to promote access to free, high-quality education through innovative ideas and solutions. Last year, over 460 applications were received from young people worldwide, proposing bold, innovative ideas to advance quality education in their communities. Participants gained free access to the Social Shifters' Digital Incubator program, with e-learning, exclusive events, and online coaching. Our colleagues also provided more than 400 hours of volunteering to support the challenge. Find out more on how to get involved: https://lnkd.in/e36UMwF6

We’re excited to welcome Fitch Group, Inc. back for our 2024 program! Fitch Group is supporting young leaders around the world working to address United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Access to education is a basic human right enabling upward socio-economic mobility and an escape route from poverty. Yet 244 million children and young people are not in school and an estimated 70% of 10-year-olds are unable to understand simple written text. Education is still in crisis. High rates of poverty, exclusion and gender inequality continue to hold millions back from learning. In this special category award we’re particularly interested in new ideas, projects and business solutions that: - Widen access to basic mathematics and literacy skills - Promote financial inclusion through education - Deliver education to remote and rural communities - Eliminate gender disparities in education - Fitch Group is generously supporting x3 grant funding awards of $10,000, $5,000 and $3,000 this year PLUS employee coaches for EVERY finalist project team to help fine-tune their pitch before the big day! Building schools in remote locations is an transformative endeavor that not only facilitates access to quality education but also fosters community growth and development. We are excited to share that our Fitch volunteers have recently returned from their Fitch School Build trip in Santa Maria Cahabon, Guatemala. Empowering communities through education, Fitch is committed to building three primary schools in 2024 in Senegal, Guatemala and Nepal, providing a foundation for lifelong learning and success. Together, with the local communities and in partnership with buildOn we're building more than schools; we're building opportunities for children to have a better future. Stay tuned as we share our progress on this special project. #Education #Guatemala

Last week, Fitch Group celebrated Global Volunteer Week, marking a time when our organization comes together to give back to the communities where we live and work. From June 3rd to June 7th, we were proud to see a remarkable turnout of over 2,230 employees who registered to participate in various volunteer activities around the world. Our team members engaged in a diverse array of volunteer projects, showcasing the enthusiasm and dedication within our ranks. This year, we were able to extend our efforts across a range of initiatives including: • Exploring career pathways with young people in Rio de Janeiro • Running a financial literacy workshop for workers in Dubai • Mentoring high school students in New York The impact of these activities resonates far beyond the time spent, as they help foster stronger, more resilient communities and enrich the lives of those involved. While Volunteer Week has come to a close, the spirit of service remains an integral part of the Fitch Group culture, and we want to thank all our volunteers for their participation. #FitchGroup #VolunteerWeek #CommunityService #CorporateResponsibility #FitchGVW2024

Empowering futures, one classroom at a time. As part of our commitment to education, this year Fitch is building three schools in Senegal, Guatemala and Nepal in collaboration with buildOn . Fitch volunteers have recently returned from an inspiring trek in Ngokaré, Senegal where they joined forces with community members to lay the foundation of a new school. This trek was not only about construction but also about cultural exchange, allowing our volunteers to deeply engage with the community and create unforgettable experiences. We eagerly anticipate our upcoming treks to Guatemala and Nepal, where we will continue to make a positive impact on global education.
