things a social media manager *never* wants to hear: PART SEVEN 🥹 IMPORTANT NOTE: most people don't say these things with negative intent. it usually comes from a lack of understanding because they've never had the time to look into it properly. that's why they've hired YOU. and we're more often than not, we’re more than "just" a social media manager. we're educators, we're listeners, we’re strategists - we’re EMPOWERING. so while these comments are (so) annoying sometimes, it gives us a great opportunity to educate, really show off our expertise and help other people become more confident in the power of social media. if they don’t get it after listening to you, they probably never will and that’s okay 🫶 what's ONE thing that instantly makes you cry as a social media manager or marketer? i'd love to read them in the comments!

this 🥹💫🌍🧚♀️ but ESPECIALLY this because it was my life for so so long, and comparison really *did* steal my joy. → i don't wake up at 5am  → i don't like working hard (work smarter, right?) → i don't make six-figures, and you'll never catch me taking part in hustle culture and because of this, and seeing everyone's best life on social media, i didn't feel like i deserved to take up space or put myself out there, and i certainly didn't feel successful. but a couple of years ago, i made a promise to myself to Just Do The Damn Thing which meant: → taking up space AND creating space for others → feeling the fear and doing it anyway  → being unapologetically me, and living to MY version of success and by Just Doing The Damn Thing, I'm now working with one of my fav brands, Semrush, on a terrific campaign illustrating what success REALLY looks like to different marketers because it's not a one-size-fits-all. you want to start selling homemade candles with your sister?  finally give it a shot at being a TikTok influencer?  simply work less so you have more time for your hobbies? or maybe it's truly yours to be in that hustle culture making 6-figures? (I won’t judge you). whatever it is, you'll probably need some marketing tools to make it happen. And guess who has everything you need? Yep, our friends at Semrush. Alongside this, they will be able to see any likes and replies from other platforms in the fediverse directly within the Threads app 📹YouTube now allows creators to edit videos that are more than 6 hours long 🤖 Apple and Meta have reportedly discussed an AI partnership 👏 Meta rolls out Broadcast Channels to Facebook Pages with 10k followers 📚 X (FKA Twitter) has launched an Ads Academy Marketing Education platform and that's all for now folks!
