We had an amazing time participating in the annual Overgate Hospice Colour Run in Halifax on Saturday! 🎨👣 This year's vibrant event was bursting with energy and proudly sponsored by Caravan Guard, our trusted delegated authority partner for caravan and motorhome insurance. Joined by our colleagues and their families, participants of all ages came together to support a worthy cause, all whilst doused in colourful paint. It was heart-warming to see the community unite in support of the hospice - every step, splash of colour and donation made a real difference. We're delighted to have been awarded a Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark - a government-backed accreditation that recognises our work in supporting charities through payroll giving. 🌟   Since January, colleagues have donated over £115,000 to UK good causes with support from RSA matching (We match donations pound for pound up to £50 a month). We have two heart-warming volunteering stories to share from our incredible colleagues in Birmingham and Sunderland. 💜 We start with our integration team having coordinated volunteering opportunities across all of our Commercial Lines sites, bringing together our teams from RSA and NIG / NIG FarmWeb, supporting our local communities and showing our Generosity value in practice. The first event took place in Birmingham with the team supporting gardening maintenance for Ideal for All - a charity who aim to empower and enable disabled and disadvantaged people and their families, carers, support workers and local communities, regardless of age or background.   Our colleagues in Sunderland have also been busy supporting 4Louis - a charity supporting families through child loss - by making thoughtful memory boxes to be gifted to a bereaved family.   Oliver Lane, who's been supporting both initiatives, told us: "It's great being able to coordinate volunteering activity right across the UK, seeing all of the amazing work our teams achieve together in the communities close to our RSA offices is so rewarding - a huge thank you to everyone who got involved." 💬 #Volunteering #Birmingham #Sunderland

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ian Bostock, a beloved former colleague with legendary status at RSA. Ian had a profoundly positive impact on everyone he worked with, always dedicated to developing people and nurturing emerging talent.   His career with us spanned 34 years, during which he held various roles, primarily in personal lines underwriting, pricing, and governance. He began his journey in Liverpool, spent many years in Oldham, and finally in Horsham before retiring in December 2019.   We extend our heartfelt condolences to Ian’s family and friends during this difficult time. As the Isle of Man marks National Day, we wanted to shine a spotlight on our colleagues at Tower Insurance who have been proud supporters of its local fire and rescue service, donating more than 500 smoke detectors over the years to assist with their vital work. 🚒 Pictured are our colleagues Kellie Hands and Richard Hulme, who had the exciting opportunity to ascend the service's 42m ladder!
