Tomorrow is #Juneteenth - a day that marks the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation and the liberation of the remainder of the enslaved in Texas and throughout the newly reformed United States after the Civil War. The National Juneteenth Museum, coming to Fort Worth, Texas, will honor, celebrate, and interrogate this remarkable moment in American history. Engaged by our longtime collaborators, BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, we created a film that would spur philanthropists and corporates to step up and secure the museum’s passage from rendering to reality. We're delighted that Casson Mann Ltd's latest project, Musée national de la Marine has been given a Silver award for this year's European Design Awards. Opened November 2023, Casson Mann has transformed the Musée national de la Marine in the heart of Paris. Our scenography balances the needs of an authoritative national museum, with the desire to create a compelling visitor experience for a wide audience. The scheme includes huge, sculptural ‘landmarks’ that lead visitors through the museum, for example, a ship’s hull, a suspended shipping container and a giant wave animated by projections. Another highlight is the ship model gallery, where visitors have 360-degree views of the ships in the national collection. The design integrates rich collections, including marine art, with tactile models and digital interactives. The result is an immersive and unforgettable museum, suitable for a 21st century audience. Everybody dance now! Squint/Opera captured the essence of dance culture for the Dance Gallery at Showtown Blackpool. Visitors explore the rich evolution of dance through an interactive dressmaker's table narrated by none other than Vicky Gill, the costume designer for Strictly Come Dancing. There's a projection-mapped ballroom where legendary dancer Len Goodman will guide you through various dance styles, from Salsa to Samba. Another standout feature is a massive immersive curved wall, which allows guests to project their heads onto moving bodies and dance through the ages!
