The first ever Tech Zero x Kraken hackathon was an awesome success! Congratulations to EVERYONE involved who created some genuinely impressive tech that could solve some seriously pressing problems. #cleantech #greentech #techforgood #octowatt #starfish #flexsquid #solstice #ecocompass #paybacktime #EARN #SquidLink #GreenCloudComputing

It's surreal and so exciting to say Tech Zero is back. With support from Octopus Energy and Tech Nation, we're making it bigger and better than ever. I had the absolute privilege of hosting a 2-day Tech Zero hackathon, supported by Kraken, and seeing some seriously impressive minds come up with some incredible tech that could bring us closer to #netzero. All within 28 hours. Then I got to relaunch Tech Zero in a room full of some of the best in tech, including Microsoft, Google, GoCardless, and Watershed. A big thanks to Harry Percival, Philip Steele, Daniel Roy Greenfeld, Hugh Wells, Elvin Nagamootoo, Amy Mather and all the other tech engineers I can't find on LinkedIn who helped on the day and guided us through the Hackathon process; Sammy Fry, Ellie Steel, and the Tech Nation/Founders Forum Group team for sticking with it and being part of a great day; and judges Flavilla Fongang and Chris Walch, who had a tough job but made a lot of hackers very happy. And of course, Rebecca Dibb-Simkin for saying yes to Tech Zero, and Nikki Macmillan, who can organise the heck out of an event.
