SOLiD, in partnership with Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG), deployed improved mobile connectivity at two of the largest shopping centres in Europe. Neutral host distributed networks have been deployed by WIG at both Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City, enabling retailers and shoppers to take advantage of transformational 4G services at these landmark retail centres. With a combined floorplate of more than 4.5m square feet hosting over 600 stores, restaurants and drinks outlets, the Westfield centres in London attract over 100 million annual visitors. This creates some unique challenges when it comes to ensuring fast and reliable mobile services. Savills has said the appetite for office space in the City has continued its recovery from the pandemic this year, following what was a “strong” 2023 driven by robust demand from the financial services sectors. The property giant leased 2.79m sq ft of office space in the Square Mile in the six months to June – 10 per cent higher than the same period last year. The figure is also 19 per cent above the five-year average, although this was distorted by the collapse in volumes over Covid. Savills revealed it also has over 2m sq ft of office space in the Square Mile under offer, surpassing the long-term mean by 21 per cent. Stuart Lawson, a director in Savills’ Central London Agency team, said: “The first half of 2024 has demonstrated positive progress in the City of London’s office market, following on from a strong 2023. ✍️ Ali Lyon Read the full story here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eGgnRER8

  • Last week, our team had the pleasure of participating in Lusona Consultancy’s Annual Charity Golf Day at Drumpellier Golf Club. This fantastic event not only provided an opportunity for some friendly competition but also raised an impressive £10,000 for two worthy causes: Macmillan Cancer Support and the local charity Maggie's Lanarkshire.   This year our team managed to secure 4th place – an excellent result! 🎉   As proud sponsors of this event, we’re always committed to supporting such meaningful causes and we’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament.   Thanks to Jim Rankine and the team at Lusona for organising another successful event. 🏌️♂️⛳   #charity #community #givingback #MacMillanCancerSupport #MaggiesLanarkshire

  • Outstanding performance stats from EE during the recent Taylor Swift concert at Scottish Gas #Murrayfield. We’re proud that our multi-operator network continues to support EE’s mobile connectivity in such a prestigious venue, ensuring an exceptional experience for all attendees.📱📶✨ #mobileconnectivity

The first UK shows of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour – the biggest stadium event in Scottish history – saw more than 3.8TB of mobile data on EE used at Murrayfield earlier this month. Our team are sure TS will beat the record on our network during a gig. That, by the way, is currently held by Harry Styles, with a massive 4.49TB at Wembley! For context, I'm reliably told that 3.8TB is the equivalent to more than 64,000 hours of song downloads, or listening to TS’s entire back catalogue on repeat more than 3,100 times. #LondonTSTheErasTour

The London office property market is continuing its strong rebound, according to fresh data out today, as more new projects get underway in the City. The total volume of new starts between October 2023 and March this year came in at 4.2 million sq. ft across 42 projects, according to Deloitte’s London Office Crane Survey. While this marked a slight dip in the last six-month period, which was a record high, the latest figure is still “well above” the 10-year average of 3.3 million sq. ft, the survey said. The new data comes after a number of high-profile office leasing deals were inked in recent weeks. ✍️ Laura McGuire Read the full story here 👇 https://lnkd.in/ejSY422Q
