We are regularly asked questions about RITM³ and now we are keen to share some of its ‘secrets’ with you. ❓ What features will contain the GIS module soon to embed? ✅ We would certainly love to make our system GIS functionality as comprehensive as QGIS😎 The new module, like the other ones, will further evolve and likely will become once a full-featured dedicated transportation GIS. We also plan to integrate it deeper with the Transportation Forecasting and Modeling module toolset. ❓ What kinds of data can be exported from RITM³? ✅ First of all, one can export a transportation model to, for example, further independently handling it to a customer. It can be either recorded to a memory stick or provided directly via a dedicated access to enable remotely inspecting the job done. It is possible to export any model’s datasets as *.csv or *.xlsx files, extrude and save maps and diagrams with legends as pictures or retrieve map data layers in modern GIS formats. My highlights of the ESRI Conference, sorry for the tldr: Smashing conference, really well organised and executed. Well done Esri UK ! The highlights for me were: - SWEET for ArcGIS (not sure about the name though :D - essentially a data capture mobile app with built in quality control checks) - Generative AI within Survey 123 to kickstart form building. Loved this. Great use of AI. Not using AI just for the sake of AI, which happens a lot! - Swift Maps SDK (gotta love the web developers having more kit to play with and extend ArcGIS capability!) - A great reminder to use the ESRI Living Atlas data catalogue more! Always forget there’s live weather and traffic data I could be bringing into my Experiences. - DTM Explorer, what the heck! This was given way too less precedent today. That was mind blowing speed visualising Raster data. Need to see more of this please. I’ve got 20tb of Raster seabed data needing to be visualised for every offshore project so this will be a game changer! - DYNAMIC GENERALISATION, another mind blowing feature you left till last only to give it 5 minutes airtime! This is what every GIS data perfectionist has been asking for, for so long. I hate creating fake copies of datasets just so it’s suitable for different scales! It’s just so un-GIS of me. Some things I want to see, if it’s not already in the pipeline: - Generative AI within ArcGIS Pro. Why do I still have to rely on the labelling engine and hit that “Convert to Graphics” button for them pesky labels. Get AI to mess with my labels and make it fit! - Generative AI to talk to because I’m lonely. Just kidding, but at least be able to tell it that I’m building a constraints map, do you think I’ve missed any key datasets? Or even just change up my symbology because I’m no designer and my colour choice looks like the old Google Maps Street basemap eughhh brother what’s that? :)

If you give any sort of presentation that shares your knowledge or expertise, do these two things: 1) Film the presentation. 2) Cut out short (less than 1 minute) videos from that same presentation to give viewers a taste of what your team has to offer. HiDef Aerial Surveying Limited welcomed the critique from the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) of our digital aerial survey photogrammetry method to measure seabird flight height. https://lnkd.in/e4geEr_g As a result, whilst the underlying principles of our flight height measurement are unchanged, we have revisited our analytical approaches, led by our in-house chartered Statistician, Dr Jack Forster with review from DMP Statistical Solutions UK Ltd to satisfy the concerns raised by BTO. The estimates from the revised analytical approach were validated against flight height data HiDef Aerial Surveying Limited collected using LiDAR. All methods for measuring flight height have their strengths and weaknesses, but for sure, continuing to build our understanding is important in improving our estimation of seabird collision risk at offshore windfarms. HiDef continue to build their flight height database, not just for the European market but also our operations in Australia. Importantly, our flight height estimation approach is extremely cost-effective compared to LiDAR and we continue to offer this service to our Clients. #Geospatial and #AI... I only have 40 mins 😜 to talk about the topic I love the most. I am really looking forward to sharing some insights on the topic with a hugely knowledgable panel.
