Wildanet’s Technical Academy is a state-of-the-art training facility for the south west. Our purpose-built facility is equipped to deliver training throughout the full life cycle of fibre technology, from building the infrastructure to completing an installation at a customer’s home.

Our Technical Academy provides SMART award accredited training for individuals working on the UK’s National Telecom Access Network. We focus on delivering fibre throughout the south west both under and over ground. We also offer Health and Safety courses, for example using tetra ladder systems and working on buildings of multiple occupancy.

Why the Wildanet Academy?

As a growing business requiring access to specialist skills, Wildanet faced its own challenges accessing the right training at the right location and price for our workforce. It seemed even harder being based in the south west, requiring significant travel and over nights stays away from home for our colleagues - so we decided to build our own Academy.

Fully equipped with a pole field and underground chambers, we can deliver every aspect of training required to build an internet infrastructure and much more! Now it is built, and operational, we want to share this amazing facility with our wider community. Whether that is simply hiring the facilities or developing comprehensive development programmes for your teams we are here to help.

Based in Liskeard, the Academy is close to public parking, the railway station and bus routes. The building is fully accessible to all, and surrounded by beautiful green space to lunch or relax in.

Our Academy is delivered in partnership with specialist training providers, and we hope to be able to extend the use of the facilities to community partners who are striving to increase digital skills within the South West.

Partnering with Truro & Penwith College
