Hard Cover. Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket. First Edition. First UK Edition. This novel was originally published in the USA as "The Four Johns" by Pocket Books in 1964 under the "Ellery Queen" house pseudonym. It was actually written by John Holbrook Vance (better known as the science fiction writer: Jack Vance). This edition published by Gollancz is decidedly uncommon. Outline of an old price (20p!) rubbed out on the front free end-paper and a couple of tiny bumps to the boards overall VG indeed in a VG+ D/W with a hint of creasing along the top edge of the D/W but which is otherwise un-faded and with no wear, tears or pieces missing. The D/W shows the original price of 3.30 net to the inside flap.
