Some rubbing but a solidly bound Bible. Contents clean, but with occasional edge foxing. Several page tops with slight crimping. First free endpaper and title-page with foxing. Initial section has: Table and Rules for the Moveable and Immoveable Feafts. Contains 48 numbered full page illustrations with explanation for each. Book of Common Prayer printed for S. Spanship at the Ship against the Royal Exchange in Cornhil, 1712. The Prayer Book divided into 1. Order for Morning Prayer; 2. The Order for Evening Prayer; 3. The Psalter or Psalms of David. The Whole Book of Psalms was printed by William Pearfon, London, 1712. Binding is in very good to near fine condition, with lining and ornamental in gold. Possibly expertly re-cased. Book in not paginated. Contents legible and for the most part bright with some toning and a few pages of staining. Several repaired close tears, some worming at number of page tops, but no loss of text. Two pages with edge repair, again no loss of text. A wonderful and fascinating religious book. 5 x 7 � inches. Hardcover (front and back) in full, black, leather with ornate gold tooling. Spine with 5 raised bands with ornate gold tooling and red spine label. Some rubbing to the binding but overall a spectacular binding in solid condition. Contents exceptionally clean, a few spots of foxing. Edges gilded. Pastedowns with marbling and with rubbing and repair. Title-page with spots of foxing. Title-page and next page with ink owner's signature at the top. Overall a wonderful Bible. Inventory #C-400.
