Editing my review. Initially I couldn’t believe how poorly this vacuum worked. I wrote a long, in depth review about it. I had already started a return, but, before I boxed it up I decided to give it one more chance. I realized the canister was in the position to empty, at approximately a 45 degree angle from the stick “backbone.” (see photos for reference) I clicked it in before starting my second attempt around the house and it had so much suction that I could only use the lowest setting on my low pile washable rugs and even then it was lifting them up at times. I say this to mean, it was my OPERATOR ERROR the first go round that resulted in hardly any dirt, dust, or dog hair being picked up. I can’t help but wonder if many of the others who gave low ratings had the same problem. It picked up super fine dust and dander from our living room and I’m excited to run it again. Cons: 1) It always starts in medium mode and has to go to turbo before you can switch to low. 2) There is no option to turn the roller bar off on the foot attachment. 3) It is quite top heavy so make sure you lean it against something. 4) The foot attachment does not click into an upright position. I deducted 1 star for the above reasons. All in all, I am satisfied with the purchase.

I’ve been searching for a lightweight vacuum with adjustable suction. I have cheap very thin area rugs & runners (ruggable knockoff types) for our elderly pets to help with traction on top of hardwood floors. Our Dyson was too strong to vacuum these and I needed something with low suction but I also wanted to be able to use it on stairs and other areas as needed. The bissell has 3 suction options, the lowest worked best on the thin rugs without getting stuck while the stronger ones still did the job on regular rugs and other areas. I really love the lights on vacuum to help see better and it really did fit great under furniture. The accessories were something I didn’t think I would need but am glad they were included as I ended up using the vacuum for really tight spaces and to clean higher up (blinds, ceilings, tops of doors, etc.). As I test I tried to clean my entire home on a full charge and switch between suction as needed, but it only ran about 20 minutes and I only was able to do a good clean of about 3 rooms, then recharge and repeat. Given I really only wanted this for stairs and thin rugs it will do the trick for that on low with a full charge. Battery life if what I expected for a cordless. It is lightweight and I easily cleaned the stairs. To empty the bin was not as easy as I expected and I did have to take it fully off and open it to clean all the fur off the filter. It definitely picked up pet fur well and the bin emptying still was easy. I also used this to get fur off some chairs/sofa, again it got it all off and was lightweight enough/easy to maneuver! I would definitely recommend this vacuum if you are not looking for something that needs to run and high suction for over ~20 minutes. It’s perfect for what I need.

Very light weight and easy to assemble and use. It does exactly what we wanted it for. We have have hard wood floors with few rugs and the Bissle made it possible to quickly clean the floors. We have two cats so and in the spring (and I imagine summer) there is plenty of fur to vacuum. It’s very easy to empty but I suggest emptying outdoors. My wife is sensitive to dust and that presented a problem until I moved the emptying job outdoors. My caveat is the shortness of the cord. Three feet more would really help. Otherwise sooooo worth the price!

I read the reviews and expected to get a great vacuum cleaner with an amazing suction power. So many people praised it and said it surprised them with how powerful it was. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It sucks but not in a good way. It takes a lot of moves over the same spot to clean it. It misses a lot of dirt, even on the hardwood floors, and especially so on the carpet.
But why did I decide to keep it?
1. Because it still does its job. Yes, a regular vacuum is still needed once a week, but this one is okay for everyday, not-so-perfect cleaning. I can definitely feel the difference under my bare feet. I will be using it every day to clean the bathroom's floor where my cat's toilet is placed (and for other rooms too).
2. It's super lightweight. This is crucial to me. If it was too heavy to move, I would be too lazy to use it often. But this thing can be held with one hand! I think even a child or an older person can use it with ease.
3. It's slim and can be placed somewhere in a corner. I keep my regular vacuum in a closet, but this little one can be stored somewhere in a hall or a room, which makes it convenient to use whenever I want.
4. Easy to empty the trash.
5. There is nothing better for the price. More powerful models cost $100+, so I decided this one does its job fairly well and I'm keeping it.

UPDATE: okay I’m changing my opinion. Initially I gave this item 3/5 stars, now I gave it 4 stars and even think it deserves 5 stars, but there are minor objective cons.

People suck at making reviews so I am here to give this a go! I took a chance here buying this vacuum because the one I had was old, annoying, loud, stank 🗣️, and was overall hard to put away. This one is GREAT. It’s not to loud, it’s extremely light, thin so it’s easy storage and the suction is great! My old one was not picking up the carpet power for cleaning so I was quite literally walking in sand…although small, this one has great suction! I gave it a go with the powder and it SUCK IT ALL UP 🫄 The bottom (as seen in the photo), does not have a brush comb as seen in other vacuums but the suctions is really good and picked up hair and dust. It does not need to be charged, it has a plug that’s pretty long so it’s goes around my room good enough. Easy to clean, only an Off/On button and to take it apart is simple. You can take off the pole and just hold it, and take off the bottom part suction to make it a mini vacuum for bed crumbs or couches ect. People suck at making reviews so I am here to give this a go! I took a chance here buying this vacuum because the one I had was old, annoying, loud, stank 🗣️, and was overall hard to put away. This one is GREAT. It’s not to loud, it’s extremely light, thin so it’s easy storage and the suction is great! My old one was not picking up the carpet power for cleaning so I was quite literally walking in sand…although small, this one has great suction! I gave it a go with the powder and it SUCK IT ALL UP 🫄 The bottom (as seen in the photo), does not have a brush comb as seen in other vacuums but the suctions is really good and picked up hair and dust. It does not need to be charged, it has a plug that’s pretty long so it’s goes around my room good enough. Easy to clean, only an Off/On button and to take it apart is simple. You can take off the pole and just hold it, and take off the bottom part suction to make it a mini vacuum for bed crumbs or couches ect. For $33~ bucks I’m extremely happy :) I good simple vacuum for good simple use. Thank you for listening to my Ted talks 💋

Que el tamaño no te engañe tengo la symphony pero sinceramente me encuentro usando más este modelo porque siento que aspira mejor aún para pisos duros y es mucho mucho más ligera es lo que más me gusta el cable no es tan largo en mi caso tengo conectores suficientes no necesito que sea tan largo tengo 4 meses usándola y todo Perfecto cada dos días la uso tengo 4 cuartos sala comedor cocina y hasta ahorita perfecta mi compra fav

Faulty light came on then smoke came out of the side of the vacuum. Requested return label and even though bought on UK site and seller says GRGN Ltd the label is an address in the US. To return it I have to pay the shipping first then refund will be made. All sounds v suspicious and a scam. Not impressed

The Bissell Featherweight is light and easy to operate. I had to buy a step down transformer to be able to use it. I got the transformer locally and the machine worked well on it. The dust in crevices was sucked up efficiently leaving surfaces clean. I could clean under the bed too, without too much trouble. It has fulfilled all the promises in the other foreign reviews.
