Received my battle rope (470" x 1.5") 9 days after I placed my order on 19Sep2020. The rope appear to be new and looks new but upon thorough examination I found some defects all along the rope. Photo 1 above shows a "frayed knot" and photo 2 above shows "fraying" all along the rope. Not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or a "lightly used and returned" one. The grips on the rope are fine and looks new. Although I am not quite happy with it I decided to keep it instead of returning it. This is probably the cheapest or most economic rope you can find. It is heavy enough to get a good workout ( I am used to a longer manila rope which is heavier). I figure my wife and I will use it 3-4 times a week and a few minutes each time, the rope should last for a while. Bottom line is that it is functional. I have not seen any other rope products around the same price range and thus could not make any comparison. For this money and it is just a rope I decided not to return the product. I do wish for a better quality control (assuming it is not a used and return item).

I had only occasionally use battle ropes at CrossFit and kung fu. Did not really know watch about the value when I saw this on sale. I use it mostly in between sets during my weight workouts or just to get my heart rate up during the day. I was especially surprised at how great a core burn I can get from doing slams. Definitely go with the 2 inch rope for more weight and the longest one you have room for. I just threw some padding up around a column in my basement and was good to go. It's a very nice product at a low price.
