I use this on a 7” scar from an elbow operation. It is easy to cut to length, and can overlap for differing angles. The adhesive is strong, although humidity or lotion (from scar massage) can loosen it. Personally I needed it to be thicker, so I layered three strips on top of each other - I wear a thin compression piece to keep it in place. Combined, this helps protect the very tender skin while healing. The silicone itself has proved a tremendous advantage in the healing process. Highly recommend.

I've been using this after a freshly-healed endoscopy surgery on my abdomen. I am going on a three weeks using the product. My scars (3 separate) are at my waist. All my clothes rub on them constantly. This stuff STAYS PUT. I don't even take it off to shower, and just occasionally push down the edges. Just like a bandaid, the edges get dirty. I just wipe the particles off. I'm telling you, my pants rub on the tape all day and it protects the scars and stays. However, I think the scars are more tender because they are constantly moist under the tape, but they are basically smooth on top. It's incredible... not like a bandaid at all. There isn't moisture trapped next to the skin, only the adhesive. I couldn't recommend enough.

works fine if it is an area that is straight and can remain straight. Putting on a scar that is on a highly moveable or bendable area, a crease, or area where clothing rubs does not work as well. Once the tape rolls or becomes unattached it is more or less useless, it will not reattach as it says it should. It is easy to use and has an adequate amount for price.

I get hypertrophic scarring. If I use this stuff religiously for 6 months, my scars remain flat. They do widen a bit, but don’t get hard, itchy and ropey. You can wash and reuse, but I don’t see the point at this price. I replace the tape once a week. It sticks great, even through showering, and can be cut into specific shapes for your situation.

In certain areas I have to use it longer. The upper chest is notorious for thick scarring.

Got it for my kids who got a fresh scar on his face and we we’re supposed to go on vacation to a resort. The tape stays on all day. I cut two pieces, put them on top of each other to make it less transparent to block out the sun. Works very well. Apply on clean dry skin. Then put sunscreen all around on the face, but not this area. To avoid having a white spot, I cut out different shapes each day - circle, square, star, heart. I use fresh tape each day (no reuse).

I’ve only been using this product for about a week so can’t speak for its long term results. However, silicone is the only ingredient proven to be beneficial in aiding in diminishing the appearance of scars so I’m confident it will help.
I never thought I’d get more than 3 days per strip of this stuff but I’m actually on day 6 right now! I put it on Sunday night. Monday night I just took it off, (be careful if it’s a new scar and still tender) set it aside to shower and just stuck it back on when the area was dry. Tuesday, same thing. Wednesday, I noticed it seemed to have a couple of small particles on it so I took a bit of mild soap (just squeezed it onto my finger and applied it directly to the strip) and gently rubbed it up and down the strip. Then I rinsed it (containing to rub it under the water) using lukewarm water then laid it sticky side up over a towel. When I got out of the shower it still had some water particles on it so I just blew them off and it was like new again. Thursday night I realized when I was in the shower that I had forgotten to even take it off! Seemed fine though so I just left it on until the next night. Friday night it wasn’t quite as sticky anymore but after rubbing it a bit I managed to get it secured again. Tonight (Saturday) I’ll take it off and start with a new strip.
I am EXTREMELY impressed. The roll is quite a bit longer than I was expecting and you can easily cut it to fit your needs so it will last a really long time providing you don’t have really big scars or many to use it on.
How well it works for you would be dependent on many factors though. Where you put it of course will effect how many uses you might expect to get. Areas that move a lot probably would be better suited for a silicone gel treatment instead.
Also, just your skin. Some people just have less sticky skin. I don’t get clammy and have never sweat a lot so I stay pretty dry throughout the day.
Lastly, I got these for my breast augmentation scars and am still in the faze that I have to wear a supportive bra 24/7. The fact that I put these on and then put something over them that holds them in place, probably helps a lot as well.
I agree with others, keep the plastic pieces to put the strips on when you take them off. I (of course) forgot so used cling wrap instead which worked well also.

Used this regularly for ~6 weeks to help soften the look of my large abdominal scar & it seems to have worked okay. (Without a non-covered test area, it is impossible for me to fully endorse.) I like that it can be removed for showering and re-applied, too. It can be a bit tricky to determine the length as it does not stretch so give yourself a bit extra to apply with a bit of 'give'. And it does not hold up that well in areas of high friction (ex: my feet due to socks & shoes).

It loses stickiness after one use and I find that reusing it causes my skin to be irritated. I also have more irritation around my incisions if it’s kept on for more than 8-10 hours. Other brands of silicone tape I’ve used I can wear for 12-20 hours with no issues and reuse them many times. Not worth the cost to have a one time use tape.
