Excellent Dickens

I’ve read other reviews on this. Actually Simon Vance is one of my favourite readers. Also I’d say the pace of the reading matches the language and time period. Reading Dickens isn’t intended to be like reading a comic book. At any rate I felt Mr. Vance did an excellent job as always. If you enjoy classics and like Dickens I would recommend this….

I’ve listened several times and keep finding more layers. There are a lot of really good points. Great narration. Excellent story. Exceptional depth to the characters- and variety. Someone mentioned about loving the right characters and hating others. Sometimes it was both together….also very creative about all the light-luxen theoretics. Basically a masterpiece

That was just amazing. How he could take so much from the past and so much from the future is astounding. Still through all that there is so much new as to keep the whole thing fresh. I don’t normally like series past 5 or 6 books because the usually end up just meandering and lose an overarching greater whole. With these each series is a wonder within itself. Also…. Really glad that they stick with Tim G R. - I like the continuity but also he’s my favourite narrator.
