The story was interesting and it seems Cathy might not have too many more stories to write as she is stepping back to focus on more time with her family.

I watched Baz Luhrmann's Elvis movie and was interesting in learning a bit more about him. Seems like he had a good heart but was troubled as any human being is. Shame he couldn't get help and left his young family behind. It was nice of Priscilla to share some stuff with us to let us in to her world with Elvis. People on the internet are quite rude and think she should not talk about him, but she was married to the man, and I think the stuff she shares, good, bad, and indifferent are all her truths. People don't like to hear when people they are fans of are flawed but I liked the truth and how she shared how controlling he was but that there was good inside him. It reminds me of actual people and how we all are or could be.

The book was very good but the movie adapted on Netflix was horrid! I have no idea if the movie would have been okay if I hadn't read the book but if you read the book the movie disappoints. I rated the movie 2/10 and that might have been generous.

It has great reviews so I gave it a shot. I didn't mind it but audiobook may have been the wrong way to absorb it. Maybe if it was a physical copy I could have grasped more. Slow to start then just felt very fast toward conclusion.

This is another story that is interesting but some others are more interesting. I think it wasn't as great of a listen as it was a current event book and the pandemic had to be mentioned as it was relevant.

Why would the narrator change Ayla's voice? That is messed up and I dislike it as many do and it makes it hard to enjoy the story. She used to be soft spoken and it wad lovely. Ayla seems like a stranger in this book, it is a shame as the author spent time developing her, and the narrator too, and then to change her accent/voice. Terrible choice and it should be re-recorded.

Good thing it was free. I didn't find this funny and couldn't keep listening. Myers tries to convince us Canadians that he still loves Canada so much but this sounds more like a diss, meant to be funny maybe, but doesn't come off that way.

Good story but sad

This is a sad story and one of Cathy's most difficult foster placements ever. I like that Cathy didn't give up, despite all the tricky times, no breaks, and sacrifices to her own family to try and love Jodie. It is an absolutely terrible story in regards to the details of what some biological parents made their daughter endure in her short 8 years having to live with monsters. They stole Jodie's future and it is so sad but I am glad to know she had made some progress. Glad to be able to hear all Cathy's stories even though this type of stuff is not for everyone.
