Story
After a wild bet, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who's 10 years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable. While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn't need glory or fame. She's fine with being a 'mere' ER doctor.

Story
An achingly funny story about how to be your own hero when life pulls the rug out from under your feet. From the author of the bestselling You Had me at Hello. Delia Moss isn't quite sure where she went wrong. When she proposed and discovered her boyfriend was sleeping with someone else - she thought it was her fault. When she realised life would never be the same again - she thought it was her fault.

Took me several chapters to warm to the characters and get into the story but once I did I really enjoyed the book. Like the song title chapter headings. Narrator also good.

Story
Resourceful, adventurous and utterly indefatigable, Sophy is hardly the mild-mannered girl that the Rivenhalls expect when they agree to take her in. Kind-hearted Aunt Lizzy is shocked; stern Cousin Charles and his humorless fiancée Eugenia are disapproving. With her inimitable mixture of exuberance and grace Sophy soon sets about endearing herself to her family, but finds herself increasingly drawn to her cousin. Can she really be falling in love with him, and he with her? And what of his betrothal to Eugenia?

Love Karen Swan but this not one of my favourite s.
Reviewed: 28-01-19
Karen Swan is one of my favourite authors but found the storyline of Prima Donna quite difficult to get interested in . Not sure whether that was because of the subject matters, or the fact that I found all the main characters were quite unlikeable until I was into the last third of the book. I will continue to read Karen Swan books as she is a great storyteller but could not relate to this book in the same way as to many of her others. Found some of the accents in the narration a bit irritating too.
