I know these are aimed at YA and I'm 40, but I am so invested in this storyline and these characters. The narrator is fantastic!

Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. Story
I'll be the first to admit that I live at extremes. After going 10 years locked in what felt like a dysfunctional marriage, I'm now decidedly boy-free. In nearly three years I've had no boyfriends, no flings, no dates, and no sex. For the sake of my dream career, the sacrifice has been easy. At least it was. Until he came along. Lukas Hendricks. He's rude, gorgeous, arrogant - a stone-carved wall of muscle and distraction. He's everything I know to avoid but there's no avoiding your next-door neighbor.

And although it was predictable, it was enjoyable to listen to. Definitely not for anyone who hates sex scenes and smut, I'd say at least 60 % of this is sex, possibly more. But it was an easy listen and you find yourself really rooting for them both.

Only got half way through episode 1. I think on general the performances were good, and the premise may have been ok, but every 5 seconds there's a musical interlude that was entirely unnecessary and completely ruins any flow. It was all a bit too haphazard and irritating.

Story
Sienna Diaz is everyone's favorite "fat" funny lady. The movie studio executives can't explain it, but her films are out-grossing all the fit and trim headliners and Hollywood's most beautiful elite. The simple truth is, everyone loves plus-sized Sienna. But she has a problem: she can't read maps and her sense of direction is almost as bad as her comedic timing is stellar. Therefore, when Sienna's latest starring role takes her to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, she finds herself continually lost.

Disappointed
Reviewed: 09-04-24
I am a fan of Penny Reid and of Jethro Winston, so I was disappointed that I found this story a bit dull. I felt like it dragged and lacked any really oomph. I struggled to like the female lead, but that may have been down to the narrator. Sometimes she was spot on, but a lot of the time she was montone and a bit robotic, with intonation in odd places or not at all. I was disappointed to hear she is also the narrator in Folking around. There was definitely too much focus on their physical connection, and their relationship actually felt like it lacked depth. Still funny though! Penny Reid is always funny!

i thought I'd hate this, that it would drag on, I'd hate the guy, the girl would annoy me and I'd roll my eyes a lot. And I did, in parts. But overall, I realised I couldn't stop listening, was desperate for them to be together and was entirely engaged in their absurd story. I was turned on, swept up and wistfully rooting for them. loved it.

Gemma Summers is unlucky in love. She's known it since third grade, when her first crush blew a spitball into her hair, and a decade-long string of bad dates, boring sex, and abysmal morning afters has done nothing to improve her prospects. But when a random radio call-in contest lands her courtside tickets to the hottest playoff game of the season, Gemma's luck may finally be on the upswing, even if it doesn't exactly seem like it when the dreaded Jumbotron kiss cam lands on her and her date.

Mostly good
Reviewed: 27-03-24
The first half was all hot tension, but some of the stuff at the end was too sickly. Definite concerns over MMC and his lack of respect for boundaries and her autonomy, even if his intentions were good. The narrator sounds like ai, and the intonation was really off in places. Also, when listening on headphones, it's particularly painful when, in a softz quiet moment, she suddenly gets really loud and sharp in a way that doesn't fit what's going on at all! But overall, it was a decent listen.

Story
Polly Fletcher loves marrying off her friends. Which is kind of weird, considering she has no intention of ever walking down the aisle herself. Social worker by day, sex siren by night, Polly relies on exactly three things to get her through life: her Tinder app, her Jimmy Choo shoes and a packet of condoms in her clutch. So when she meets a sexy, silver-eyed stranger at a friend’s wedding, all she’s after is a wild night between the sheets.
