Story
From the author of 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos comes a provocative hypothesis that explores the connection between what modern neuropsychology tells us about the brain and what rituals, myths, and religious stories have long narrated. A cutting-edge work that brings together neuropsychology, cognitive science, and Freudian and Jungian approaches to mythology and narrative, Maps of Meaning presents a rich theory that makes the wisdom and meaning of myth accessible to the critical modern mind.

The narrator has a calm voice. I can understand every word of his. The rhythm allows me to imagine what is being said. The tone is just right to let me focus on the content. I also listen while walking through the city. It helps me stay concentrated.
I am an Aspie and listening to this helps me to better understand myself. I know what makes my behaviour and I know what I'm capable of.
I am grateful for listening to this book. Thank you.

A thorough research on education and finding your element, through which you can express freely and really live.
I advise you to leave everything aside when listening and simply absorb what you hear.

Story

Story
In 1993, Ryan records a diary on an old tape. He talks about his mother's death, about his dreams, about his love for a new girl at school who doesn't even know he exists. In 2013, Ameliah moves in with her grandmother after her parents die. There, she finds a tape in the spare room. A tape with a boy's voice on it - a voice she can't quite hear, but which seems to be speaking to her. Ryan and Ameliah are connected by more than just a tape. This is their story.

Now in his ninth decade, former Bishop of Edinburgh, Richard Holloway, has spent a lifetime at the bedsides of the dying, guiding countless men and women towards peaceful deaths. In The Last Bus, he presents a positive, meditative and profound exploration of the many important lessons we can learn from death.

A book that I needed to listen to.
It helped me to take a break from life’s race and think what am I headed towards.
Death has always been a preferred subject to discuss with close friends.
I recommend this to anyone worried too much about life’s purpose.
There is no purpose. That’s when you realise you can add one to it.
Calmly read by the author, with a warm deep tone, this book is worth five stars.
