All Bob Hoon ever wanted was a good whisky, and some peace and quiet. But, when Hoon hears that his friend and MI5 agent, Miles Crabtree, has gone missing in the United States, he is dragged back into action once more. The hunt leads him to the Florida Everglades, and into conflict with the violent locals, the terrifying wildlife, and a Sheriff with a sinister agenda of his own.

I enjoyed listening to this latest Hoon story.
Hoon was at his miserable, grumpy, foul mouthed best. lol
Angus King, as always, performed brilliantly and brought the characters to life.

This book continued the story in a way that took me to a city I have never, and probably will never, visit.
Her descriptions bring to life the sight and smells of the home of the Blues with sympathy and love.
True to life characters are well rounded and show that no one is all good or bad. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Story
‘They’re dead. They’re all dead. It’s my fault. I killed them.’ Those are the words of Iona Gardener, who stands bloodied and staring as she confesses to the murder of four people in a rundown cottage outside of Belfast. Outside the cottage, five old dolls are hanging from a tree. Inside the cottage, the words 'Who took Eden Mulligan?' are graffitied on the wall, connecting the murder scene with the famous cold case of Eden Mulligan, a mother of five who went missing during The Troubles. But this case is different. Right from the start.
