Story
Curses are falling on this town like rain in London. Just when I think I’ve found a link between the hexed victims, someone else shows up who’s been jinxed. It feels like the devil is playing darts with my paranormal town and if the dart hits you, you get whammed with a curse. To be honest, I haven’t a clue how to find the perpetrator. My sole lead is pointing at the travelling black market that has just arrived in Portlock. That would be all fine and dandy — if I could find it. Weirdly, no one is willing to direct the cops to a highly illegal market.

Ah I’m really enjoying this new series. The characters are engaging and entertaining. Cooper and Skye couldn’t come from more different backgrounds but that doesn’t stop themselves for being exactly right for each other. The emotional rollercoaster ride is wonderful and I got swept up in their story very quickly. Ms Evans stories have a distinct way of drawing you in and keeping you not only entertained but fulfilled at the end of the book. Saying that I always struggle with what to read next and often need a reread of past books after. The narration as always is excellent. I find this really enhances my enjoyment of the story.

Story
Gravel-voiced Gibson Bodine takes his lone wolf image seriously. His one love - besides starting a good brawl - is sitting on a rinky-dink stage in a backwoods bar playing guitar and singing about things he’ll never have. When a video of him playing goes viral, Gibson ignores the unwanted attention. He’s got bigger things to worry about. Like the bomb his half-brother’s mom just dropped on him. And the fallout from the memento he’s been carrying around for 13 years. But one night in a bar, 50 miles from home, he meets her. And she changes everything.

Wow what a fantastic end to a wonderful series. Even better than I hoped and some great revelations. It just put the icing on the cake and an already wonderful series. The bonus epilogue was absolutely brilliant. It helps settle your heart when you say goodbye to favourite characters. The narration was excellent as always totally enhances the experience.

Story
Five years ago, a phone call forever changed my life as I listened to my wife being murdered half a world away. Going rogue from the CIA, I became a man feared by everyone as I sought vengeance. Lies she’d told and secrets she’d kept, pushed me over an even darker edge. With nothing to lose, I became unstoppable. A devil among men. Until justice was served, or so I’d thought it’d been . . . Working alongside a team of veterans, trying to find my way back to the man I’d once been, another life-altering call came, drawing me back to the dark world I’d left behind.

I’m not sure I have the words to describe how this book made me feel. As fans of this author for a long time I’ve read every book she’s ever written and often done rereads and listens. This story has been one all her fans have waited for. It’s been hovering in the background of the last several books.
We’ve come to know some of Carter’s background but we didn’t really know how much he’d been thro. This book takes you a journey so you not only understand him but you feel his pain and terror as he struggles to let Diana in. Ms Sahin is extraordinarily talented an author as she takes you on the most rollercoaster of a journey. The rest of our favourite characters are along for the ride to so it’s like catching up with family and friends every time we visit this world. Once again a superbly written story of love, loss and happiness. The narration as always was exceptional and totally enhanced my enjoyment of this fabulous book.

I thought I was finally getting the hang of being a paranormal policewoman, but when one of the gemstones powering the barrier around the town is stolen, I’m as terrified as the average Joe. Of course, there’s nothing average about the Joes in this town. It’s chock full of mythical creatures, and some of them think the barrier is a waste of time. Well, I’ve seen the cryptid monster beyond and I know we’re doomed if the magical palisade ever fails. Calling what would follow a massacre would be a gross understatement.

Once again, Ms Evans delivers Another fantastic book in this ongoing series. Blaze And Harlow have a connection that is beautiful and develops over the course of the book. That itself is enjoyable to watch and read, but at the same time there is another subplot going on with Harper security. The drama suspense and intrigue keep you hooked from the first page to the last I loved Harlow’s character She Is a confident charismatic character and someone very relatable. Start this book and you won’t be able to put it down. It makes for very compelling reading awesome book. The narration as always was excellent
