Story
Love was a losing battle for this country music darling and a single dad, baseball star until one night brings them together and one small town sets the playing field for a possible winning streak. They call me Lady Boss. Maneater. Queen. But beneath the makeup, blond wig, and glitzy costumes, I’m just a country girl who likes to sing. I don’t hate men, I’m just struggling to find a good one. I’ve learned my lesson. Fool me once, and it will never, ever happen again. So I’m baffled when I meet Ford Sylver.

It was playful but slow-burning and full of forgiveness and family.

Story
The mask she wears for the world is flawless. But I want the mess that she hides underneath. Samantha Harper is untouchable. She's the closest thing we have to royalty in my small town. Daughter of a senator. Richer than sin. Classy, elegant, and Ice cold. She's my polar opposite. And unfortunately, She's exactly my type. Too bad royalty doesn't fraternize with peasants. Until one night, Samantha Harper finds herself at my mercy, and the temptation to dirty up her flawless façade is too great.

Riveting Listening
Reviewed: 23-05-24
I went into this audiobook blind. No reading the previous books, no idea about the characters—their personalities, their background—no, nothing. And while I did have questions about certain things (mainly about what I assume happened in the other two books), I didn't feel lost.
Desireé and Austin did a wonderful job narrating Sam and Chris's story.
It was an enjoyable listen with plenty of emotion—some nice, some nasty—steam, and was riveting...I devoured this book in one sitting.
Sam was a boss babe. The things she experienced, the actions she endured, the revenge she reaped...it was all so perfectly planned, I'm in awe.
Chris was such a sweetheart. His dedication to his family—his support for them and Sam (despite their differences)—was so heartwarming.
If you decide to take a chance on an audiobook, this one will not disappoint, it will turn you inside out but leave you with all the warm fuzzies.

I'm a hunter, destroying the evil that roams these streets. That's always been my focus. Then, I saw her. My newest obsession. My deadliest sin. One look into her eyes, and I knew we were the same. Hungry for blood. For revenge. Hiding behind our secrets. She has her demons, and I have mine. Our scars run so deep, no one knows how much we bleed except the two of us.

Intoxicating listening

JF Harding and CJ did an amazing job narrating this story. It was such a fabulous listening experience, I didn't want it to end! The range of characters they had to portray was quite large but whether they were young, old, female, male, or even a different nationality - they were flawless.
Adriel and Kayla's story was beyond anything I could have imagined. I was constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop, and when it finally did I was left speechless. I couldn't believe the twist that was thrown in... I will be eagerly awaiting the next audio release from Mrs Harris.

Story
If you throw an Irish billionaire out of a plane at 40,000 feet, would he fly? That's the question I ask myself on our flight when Declan Bryne told me that it’d be “grand" if I could stop talking. I can’t help it. I’m a nervous flyer. But that should've been my sign to hit EJECT! Because this is doomed to fail. He’s a total grump. He obviously doesn’t like me. He's too distractingly gorgeous to be around for any length of time. And he’s made it clear that as soon as he can find another nanny, I’m gone.

Sean and Suzanne gave a wonderful performance of this story.
They had several characters to portray of varying ages which they delivered with wonderful emotion and conviction.
I enjoyed the banter between Olivia and Declan for the most part. While they sizzled between the sheets, the way they often misconstrued each other's actions or intentions grated a bit.
I adored Catie's character and frequently found myself smiling at the relationship between her and Olivia.
Overall, the storyline kept me hooked and I very much enjoyed the Irish accent that Sean's performance gifted us.

Devon and Troy did a fantastic job narrating a story I really didn't gel with.
I don't know whether it was the disjointed feel of the story, the third-person perspective or because I have been spoiled for choice when it comes to amazing audiobooks but I just didn't enjoy it. However, I'm sure there will be others that do.
Would highly recommend these narrators, their voices alone encouraged me to finish this book.

Erin and Jason made me fall in love with Bora Bora, Maggie, Brody, Jude & Haisley, and the Hopper brothers.
Whether it was Maggie's 'orgasmic bellowing' or Brody's growly frustration; the narrators kept the feels coming, the energy high and you could hear the smile in both of their voices at times.
Between Brody's complete lack of luck and Maggie's reach-for-the-stars demeanour, there was plenty to enjoy about this book.
We were treated to cameos, easter eggs, the grand gesture, sexual tension out the wazoo—all of the good things—as well as conniving wenches, hilarious bromantic superstitions, and a downright devious daddy.
I really hope we get to see more from the Hopper family, Almond Bay and Everly.
If you like a cinnamon roll hero, shenanigans galore, and the bad guys to get their comeuppance, then this is a book you don't want to miss.

Robert and Samantha depicted Wren and Oliver perfectly.
The emotions, the highs, the lows, and the challenges were voiced flawlessly.
This book was a little different, as it begins after they are already together (you can read that short intro in Close to You) and we see how they have to navigate a vindictive ex and the web of lies she weaves. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, waiting for the other shoe to drop, all while you root for Wren and Oliver because they are meant to be.

Story
He proposed . . . and I said yes. Normally a jovial occasion for a couple in love, but this proposal has a very different feel. Because the man that I'll be calling my husband blew into town with one thing on his mind . . . to make my life a living nightmare. So why did I say yes? Well, because we both need something from each other. Namely, I want the farm land he currently owns, and he needs a wife in order to inherit his family cabin in his grandfather’s will. So as he so eloquently put it, my hand, for his land.

Aaron and Stella brought Wyatt and Aubree to life in a beautiful way.
Their narration was wonderful, even with the variety of characters they had to portray.
Aubree's sense of humour was a little hard to get used to, but once I figured her out and got more of a sense of who she was, I enjoyed the story more.
Some parts made me chuckle, others made me love Wyatt (despite his omission) and then there were parts where I wanted to bang their heads together because they didn't communicate well to begin with.
I did like how the siblings seemed to become closer, and that despite their troubles, Wyatt and Aubree made the best of an awkward situation.
Overall it was an enjoyable listening experience, I just felt that I didn't enjoy the storyline as much as other books by Meghan.

I hate everything about him. I hate his smile. I hate his laugh, and most of all, I hate how he makes me feel—so completely alive with every forbidden kiss. Gio is the son of the Italian Mafia and I’m an Irish Mob princess. An assassin who swore her life to the cause. We were never meant to find each other. But one night changed everything. I was about to end his life, while he was about to end mine.

Jason and Ramona absolutely nailed the audio for this book.
Between the genders, age range and accents, they had their work cut out for them, but they both rose to the challenge and delivered a performance that was both entertaining and absolutely addictive.
I adored Gio and Iseult's story. After being gifted little snippets in the previous book I knew it would come down to a battle of wills—and it didn't disappoint!
Iseult had her walls built high (you discover the why in this book) but Gio had perseverance on his side.
While sometimes it was a battle of dominance, their chemistry was off the charts!
The banter they shared often made me chuckle and a few times I had to fan myself because the steam was high.
I adored the way that Gio persisted in his chase and the way he tried to look after Iseult (when she would allow it).
The surprises and twists in this story kept me guessing and the nature of their mafia life kept the story interesting.
The ending took me by complete surprise, I did NOT see that coming!
The bonus scenes were another bonus, they were absolute perfection for these two.

Word to the wise, never become roommates with a girl you’ve been pining over for the better part of a year. You're probably wondering why I would do such a thing? Well, I didn’t. It was my teammates. The moment they found out Blakely White was single, they took it upon themselves to play cupid and instruct me on how I should win her over. Don't wear a shirt around her. Make her dinner. Lightly touch her shoulder when you say goodbye. I'm so flustered, so overwhelmed, so madly in love with this woman who barely notices me.

Halsey IS my type
Reviewed: 30-11-23
Prepare yourself!
This audiobook is beyond amazing.
Not only does it feature a stellar full-cast, but it also includes:
- some new faces;
- cameos from some faves;
- snort-worthy shenanigans;
- a dirty-mouthed, protective, demanding, but sweet and swoony hero;
- an adorable heroine with verbal diarrhoea in awkward situations;
- entertaining group chats, including the she-beast that is post-partum Penny;
- the most hilarious of mishaps;
-smoking hot chemistry (seriously, you'll need to stick your head in a freezer or fan yourself with a loin cloth 😏).
But you may also need some tissues because, well, when it all comes to a head, it hits HARD.
I'm not afraid to admit that I had tears in my eyes near the end of the book because Halsey, with his big beautiful heart, was absolutely destroyed.
However, the way Blakely and the boys showed up was EVERYTHING.
Ugh, I'm welling up just thinking about it.
Truthfully, this book was everything I had hoped for and more.
