Story
All Bob Hoon ever wanted was a good whisky, and some peace and quiet. But, when Hoon hears that his friend and MI5 agent, Miles Crabtree, has gone missing in the United States, he is dragged back into action once more. The hunt leads him to the Florida Everglades, and into conflict with the violent locals, the terrifying wildlife, and a Sheriff with a sinister agenda of his own.

Only discovered this author last year when I listened to the first Hoon book.....After that, I was hooked and have listened (read) all his books at least 4 times! Hoon in America is just perfect and I can not wait for his next adventure!

I'm absolutely addicted to J D Kirk. His characters are all special and you feel as if you know them all!
I laugh out loud in the most random locations!
A real cliffhanger ending, leaving you wanting to go through every previous book to see if there is a clue.

Story
Daisy-Mae is now sure she’s awake. It’s not the cutting breeze or the musty smell that has her convinced, it’s the pain. You can’t dream pain. She is being held down, something tight over her arms, her chest too. She turns her head for a different view: a whitewashed wall, faded by time, scuffed to add to the impression of a building deserted in a hurry. But there is something in the room that looks fresh: graffiti. The letters spell out three words that are enough to have her retching again: DON’T WAKE UP. The next day Daisy-Mae’s friend also disappears.

Loved the story line. Very well written. My only problem with the performance was Rhiannon developing a Welsh accent! It was bad enough when Harry's voice took on a deeper voice after the first couple of books! Other than the change in voices/accents, it was a great story.
