Summary
Do you eat when you're not hungry? Or when you're angry and upset? Do you eat to control your feelings?
Allen Carr's Easyway is the most successful self-help stop-smoking method of all time. It has helped millions of smokers all over the world to quit and has since been used to treat other addictions such as drinking and gambling. Allen Carr's Easyway method works by unravelling the brainwashing that leads us to desire the very thing that is harming us, meaning that we are freed from the addiction rather than merely restricting our behaviour.
The Easyway method has now been applied to the problem of emotional eating. With Allen Carr's Easyway method, you can eat as much of your favourite foods as you want, whenever you want, as often as you want and be the exact weight you want to be, without dieting, special exercise, using willpower or feeling deprived.
Do you find that difficult to believe? Listen to this audiobook.

Changed my life
I started this book in December 22nd after a friend recommended it. I was skeptical but thought I’d listen to it. Over night my relationship with food changed. Over Xmas I didn’t comfort eat. I didn’t eat any treats, cakes or even mince pies. And never felt deprived or reliant on will power! It just seemed normal not to want it.
For anyone who feels shackled to comfort food; this is the book to release you. Be open minded. Listen to it all. Don’t skip any. And don’t try and combine plans and you will love it!

I can't believe how quickly it changed my thinking
It's one of those books I think everyone should read. The lessons within it are so obvious but I had never looked at my eating in that way before. I haven't finished it yet but already my whole approach to eating has changed because it completely makes sense. It's like a light bulb moment which not only makes you reflect on your own way of living but you start to see what others are doing too. I'm at risk of becoming a preacher of his ideas because they are so life changing ( I'm currently resisting as I don't want to be THAT person ha ha ha).
My only negative feedback really is that I think I would have preferred a man to narrate it, and just because (this maybe strange) I wanted to feel more like the author talking to me about his experiences as this this would make it more effective in my head, rather than me being aware that it was diluted but this second person reading his words.

No nonsense and convincing
I’ve listened to this while working and the arguments might be described as common sense/knowledge but having them all laid out together and compared to other additions like drugs and smoking is definitely useful and my desire for junk food is certainly much diminished. I will go back and relisten to reinforce this. My main criticism is that the ending is a bit annoying. I can’t really imagine taking on’yipee im free’ as a mantra and feeling totally fine when everyone around me is tucking into a pub lunch with a pint or a piece of birthday cake and a glass of wine. Some more advice on how to deal with social pressures and situations would have been helpful for me. I’ve been called a kill joy and spoil sport for giving up drinking so I can imagine I’ll be getting even more abuse and an antisocial reputation when I turn down office cakes and family meals out because there’s no healthy alternatives on the menu… so some advice for dealing with that would have improved my rating. Definitely worth a read though

Changing mindset
I enjoyed this book very much although it is very similar to all Allan carr previous books I gained a lot from
It. I personally prefer the narrative read by the author. Although I understand this is not available to newer books. I have listened to
It twice and learn something new/ thank you

Worth a v lb him v gģ shot
I initially found this audio book fairly hard going, repetitive and, honestly, quite boring BUT THEN it did just click and now I do really feel motivated and, having listened to the entire book and followenCfa lbffxvsd the instructions, I believe that I am now an ex junk food addict.

The same book
I listened to Allen Carrs easy way to quit alcohol and found it amazing. This prompted me to get this book and kick my junk food habit too. I was disappointed to find that it is practically the same book. Just remove the word alcohol and enter the word sugar and voila. Also junk food is not just sugar. Little mentioned about crisps burgers and other savoury foods.

Really useful
The only reason I gave this a 3 is the appalling narration. The content is great although not very logically presented

Right book at the wright time.
I love this audiobook. I had a result as described in the book. It is worth reading or listening to when you are ready to improve your well-being and ready to be free from emotional eating.
