Summary

The cold of Siberia meets the chill of betrayal.

In a world where loyalty is fleeting and alliances are temporary, John Milton is on a mission that will bring him face-to-face with enemies old and new. When his friend, Alex Hicks, finds himself pursued by mysterious adversaries, the two men are thrust back into the web of international espionage.

Navigating a perilous path that stretches from the war-torn streets of Ukraine to the icy wastelands of Siberia, Milton will stop at nothing to protect his friends and expose a conspiracy that could topple governments and jeopardize global security. As Russian intelligence crumbles from within and a new, unpredictable threat arises, can Milton outwit his most formidable enemies yet?

From the clandestine corridors of French intelligence to the explosive frontlines of a covert war, Bloodlands will keep you on the edge of your seat, questioning where true loyalty lies. In a daring game of cat and mouse that sees Milton, Hicks, and an ensemble of unforgettable characters crossing paths and double-crossing enemies, the stakes have never been higher.

Don't miss this lightning-paced installment in the John Milton series—a tale of betrayal, survival, and the relentless pursuit of justice.

Solid Milton

Ok, so this one is no New Orleans or London or even Scotland but still, it's good. I feel like Milton should perhaps be retired... Or maybe put on a little hiatus. However, whenever the next book comes one, I'll get it right away.
Oh and the performance - top notch, as ever!

intriguing, fascinating and twisted

Ok… WOW…

erhmmm, probably the best Milton story ever recorded. Less violence, less high paced action but a lot more story, and an ending that will have you screaming silently for more.

doesn't disappoint

Always enjoyed the John Milton audiobooks and had this pre-ordered. duly dropped into my library and not been able to put it down. spare time taken up with is cracking plot. if you're a fan then it's one to get, new to JM then a great listen/introduction. I'm just sorry its finished and now await the next installment, hoping its not too long in the works. In the mean time I'll be revisiting John's catalogue.

Such twisting plots

I love the John Milton series by Mark Dawson and this latest book is excellent. So much happens in each book testing our favourite characters who try to navigate the twisting web of lies and deception.
Even though a couple of things seemed a tad predictable to me, these are balanced out by the excellent plots and characters. As an audiobook listener, David Thorpe is John Milton providing ace narration as always.

Tense and current

Brilliant, as always… just wish it were not a full year before the next instalment! Liked the fact that the political scene is current, it added to the feeling of intrigue and was relatable. Also love the narrator, doesn’t put a foot wrong.
