Since it was first published in July 1869, The Maidenhead Advertiser has been part of the fabric of life in Maidenhead. This 150th anniversary book both tells the story of the paper and provides a fascinating glimpse into the past through the paper’s photographic archives.
The centre pages are devoted to a section chronicling 150 years of the Advertiser and the colourful characters who shaped our own history. The majority of the 200 page paperback book is devoted to photos of things, events and people many of our readers will both remember and perhaps even have been a part of. These are taken from our photo archive which only really began in the 1960s after the Advertiser got its first photographic department.
