We hear stories about the record from Bowie's graphic designer Jonathan Barnbrook, actor Jon Culshaw who played the part of the artist in a BBC radio drama, plus poet Lavinia Greenlaw, who penned a tribute poem to the star following his death.

Tune in as we celebrate Bowie's final gift to the music world, on the 70th anniversary of the album format. David Bowie passed away just 2 days after the release of 'Blackstar', on January 10, 2016.

This programme is part of BBC Music’s support for the first ever National Album Day, which takes place on Saturday 13th October with programming on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4, 5 Live, 6 Music, BBC One and BBC Four across the week or on the day itself.
