A music event taking place under a flyover is expected to bring thousands of drum 'n' bass fans to a city.

The Under August Weekender, hosted by Mixology, will take place under the Nene Parkway Flyover, Peterborough, over the weekend 17-18 August.

On Tuesday organisers announced more than 50 acts that will appear at the event such as East End Dubs, SOSA, Shy FX and BBC Radio 1’s Charlie Tee.

A spokesperson from Mixology said over the past few years the rave had "morphed into a vital dance event that rivals any UK production of its size".

The spokesperson added that since Under's inception as a one-day event three years ago, it had become extremely popular with music fans.

Work from the graffiti artist Nathan “Nyces” Murdoch will also be showcased over the weekend.

"It's remarkable setting beneath the Nene Parkway Flyover makes for no ordinary clubbing experience," the spokesperson said.

"A juxtaposition of concrete and industrial wasteland with the beautiful, scenic landscape of the River Nene and Nene Park off in the distance.

"Under has morphed into a vital dance event that rivals any UK production of its size."
