Hurricane Beryl heads towards Mexico and the US
Beryl is the 2024 Atlantic season's first hurricane and, at its peak earlier this week was the earliest category five storm on record.
It was a category two hurricane late on Thursday and is expected to weaken to a tropical storm overland. Forecasters say it could regain strength over the weekend as it heads towards Texas.
