Emma struggled with injuries during the match

Raducanu struggled with physical issues during the match, and had to call for a medical timeout after she slipped on the grass.

However speaking after the game she was positive about the future of her tennis.

She said: "I feel good about things going forwards. I feel optimistic"

"As bitter as it is to take, I think [this defeat] happened for a reason. You don't want things to happen too easily and too quickly. I had that before. I don't necessarily want just a massive spike."
