I lived there for 12 years, visited after 4 years again. The decline of the city is pulpable. Everywhere dirt, constant noise of constractions, horrible people, worn-down cubes instead of those old, lovely, well kept 50ies style buildings, i loved Frankfurt for. It was a Schmuckstück. Very convenient location near train line so easy to get to from Frankfurt Airport and then easy to go into the Main city centre. We had a great time just walking around and checking out the old buildings, the cathedral and eating great food. Unfortunately, the galleries were all closed as it was a Monday.

This is About Frankfurt Airport (FRA) *only*. I have traveled internationally for 50 years. FRA used to be a decent airport for getting around. In the past few years it has deteriorated and became extremely complex. It's now a nightmare to find your way around, especially between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Signage is small and confusing. Walking from T2 to T1 requires lots of turns, going upstairs + downstairs, plus a hard to find monorail. Within both terminals, half the escalators were out of order so I had to bump my suitcase up + down the stairs. Looking for a hotel shuttle bus got me to a tremendously long string of more than a dozen bus stops. Had to ask 2 bus drivers to find the right hotel shuttle. I speak perfect German and still got lost several times. Now they are working at adding a 3rd Terminal to this horrible maze. From now on, I will avoid FRA and pay more to fly into Munich, Stuttgart or Basel (Switzerland) instead.RocDoc7United States - Scored 8.08.0
