Surprisingly large and well run hotel, rather than guesthouse. Rooms were well decorated with good facilities. Large dining room and good breakfast. Only 15 mins walk from the edge of the two centre with good bus services. We were at the side and the road didn't bother us. Section of Hadrian's Wall in the car park was a bonus!

Very modern, clean and had a quality finish in the room. AC and underfloor heating in the bathroom was a sign of the quality.
Food was good with great service.

Perfect overnight stay in the Countryside near Carlisle. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the honeyroom suite. It was lovely! The bed was comfy and there was a spa bath in the room. The restaurant and bar facilities were also really good. Would definitely recommend.

Location is perfect for graduation at Carlisle cathedral ita right next door. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, club rooms are clean and decent sized, small doubles are on the small size but still lovely and clean. Beds are comfortable.

Good restaurants, easy access to the station. It's in need of some tender, loving care. Local people were all friendly and helpful. It's well situated for all the beautiful sights around the city.

Dalston village is beautiful, but Carlisle Town, what we saw of it was uninspiring and unattractive.
Lots of road works , confusing road systems and busy. Not a bit like the other lake district towns.
Perhaps we hadn't seen the best of it to be fair.
The breakfast at this hotel was excellent, the location was brilliant out the door around the conner you were in the town. The staff was friendly the chap Dale on the reception was very kind, help he gave us was just totally smashing my mum walks with a stick he went beyond and made sure we were happy I will definitely pay a visit back at Carlisle and will be staying in the country hotel the manger needs to know what a cracking lad Dale is keep up the good work we hope to see you when we return. 😀
Staff. Kayliegh was great on reception. Nothing too much trouble. Served in the bar as well. Very welcoming and knowledgable despite it being her first week. Did not stay for breakfast as early start but continental made available. A great location and would definatley use the hotel again if visiting Carlisle.
Excellent location with good train access for Carlisle. Picked as an overnight stop on way to Scotland this hotel warrants more. Staff all friendly with mentions for Dan and Maisy who served us at reception and Restaurant
