Close to the Great Yorkshire Show and to the town of Harrogate. Parking was good and we could pay on arrival which was efficient. Staff were friendly and went beyond in helping us settle in (batteries needed changing on our door entry system) and with regard to ordering food externally due to kitchen being booked up. We arrived between 7-8 pm

A Feast for the Senses
A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.
The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.
Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.
For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.
Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

An amazing place to visit with something for everyone.
An amazing place to visit with something for everyone. Unlike other major cities, it does not feel overwhelming but it also does not feel too small. There are many areas of the city to visit but my recommendation is to first take a bus tour to gather your bearings of the city while also providing an in-depth overview of the city (which for architecture and history enthusiasts is a must). I would recommend city sightseeing (located at St Andrew's Square) the green tour which is a live commentary of the Old and New Town.
For dinner, I would recommend the Amarone Edinburgh, Bubba Q, Boozy Cow. For something a bit more high-end The Ivory on the Square or the Dome for afternoon tea or dinner.
Edinburgh is very easy to get around either by public transport (bus, train, tram, uber) all of which make transport easy. A travel tip for getting to and from Edinburgh Airport is to use the Airlink Bus throughout the night and until 8 am, then use the tram during the day.
Another great aspect of Edinburgh is the amount of green spaces. The Royal Botanic Gardens, the Meadows, Arthur's Seat, Holyrood Park, Salisbury Crags, Princess Street Gardens and Inverlieth Park are local favourites. All of which, are well worth a visit on a great day.
For picture-perfect spots, tourists must visit Dean's Village, Carlton Hill, Arthur's Seat, Water of Leith Walkway, Greyfriars Bobby (the most photographed dog in Scotland), Victoria Street, and catch a sunset from Edinburgh Castle or New Collage. Travel Tip: is to spend some time checking out Stockbridge and checking out Circus Lane. The combination of cobbled streets and architectural masterpieces make Edinburgh one of the most photogenic places in the UK.
Edinburgh is well worth a visit because there a very few cities in the world quite like Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is a nice and beautiful place beyond my expectations. The city centre is much tinier than London where I visited before traveling Edinburgh. Therefore, I could walk around by myself and fully enjoy the beautiful scenery. People there are kind with lovely Scottish accents, food is scrumptious(must try Fudge and Haggis!), the ambience is quite special.

But it was our first time at the Ibis Style.
We had a couple of good meals: lunch at Amarone nearby which was most enjoyable and dinner at Browns.

Edinburgh is a great city with lots to do in terms of sightseeing and is steeped in history and Scottish culture. Edinburgh castle must be at the top of the agenda for all visitors and a leisurely walk visiting the shops, restaurants and taverns along the Royal Mile are a must. A visit to the Museum of Childhood is a great trip down memory lane remembering some of the games and toys we had as children and its great for kids and adults alike. Best thing is admission is free here which is a bonus.

I like the fact that Edinburgh has lots of small parks and green spaces in the heart of the city - Princes Street Gardens and the Meadows on the southside are definitely places to go to in good weather for walks or picnics. St John's Church on Princes Street has the small but beautiful Peace Garden and is also the site of the excellent fairtrade One World Shop. The West End Fair takes place there in July/August and is really good for independent craft stalls.
Edinburgh is full of cultural sites, but some of the best are the National Museum of Scotland with a massive historic collection, the Dovecot Tapestry Studio (based in an old swimming pool!) the Botanic Gardens, and the National Gallery of Scotland, which also has a lovely cafe/restaurant with a view across to the old town. For cafes to grab a cake and tea or coffee, I like Mimi's in Stockbridge and Leith and Soderberg, also in Stockbridge.
Top tip: DON'T even attempt to drive in Edinburgh - slow, expensive and annoying for the thousands of pedestrians to have cars trying to inch through the city centre. You can walk around pretty easily and for any greater distance, buses, trams and local trains are fine.
This is a lovely quaint hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and recommendations on places to see, and where to eat and drink. The room was clean and cosy, had a nice view of the street, and included all of the expected amenities (tea/coffee, TV, hair dryer, toiletries). The location was a short walk from the city centre and close to a tram stop. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Edinburgh.
Lovely hotel, in a beautiful location! We stayed to see Taylor Swift in Edinburgh and the staff were so excited about the occasion 😊
Breakfast was great, the grounds were lovely to explore and the facilities were perfect.
On a really easy bus route into the city centre, but with the perk of having a quieter stay.
loved how central it is to Edinburgh city centre but hidden away enough that there’s not much noise around the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and the bar food and drinks were lovely. The TV in the hotel was good as you could cast streaming services to it from another device.
The hotel was in a perfect location surrounded by nice bars and restaurants not far from the tram into Edinburgh city centre. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable.
This Hotel is located near Royal mile which is in the central part of old town in Edinburgh, just 10-min walk to Edinburgh train station and you can walk to everywhere in the old town in 20 mins.
