Staff were really friendly, super helpful and the place was spotless! The breakfast was really yummy and there were different options to choose from. The bathroom was gorgeous and the place was quiet and beds were comfy so sleep was easy. It's also 7 mins drive from the harry potter studios for anyone visiting there.

Location. The second room was fine. Staff were friendly and efficient although lacking numbers on the night I was in the restaurant and I several heard people complaining to the staff about their steaks . The one exception was the appalling rude female receptionist.

Quirky building , friendly staff, nice food room with added fridge was a bonus. Great room for families.
The staff were really polite and helpful. The room was nice and tidy and clean, the bathroom was the only let down with the tub having no plug and the shower head was spraying all over the place with low pressure. The food was excellent and not over priced.

The room was comfortable and the bed was great.
The room was comfortable and the bed was great.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The bar area was great but small and crowded (we picked a busy time)
The big disappointment was the food - Sunday evening meal was bad, very dried out mash, rock hard roast potatoes and a completely inedible Yorkshire pudding (obviously the last meal of the Sunday lunches). The chicken pie was good.
The breakfast was awful.

Nothing to like.
Nothing to like. Toilets dirty, room not that clean, food menu for evening meal poor and we were very ill after eating it. Charged £26.50 for breakfast when only had toast due to being ill all night. Fire doors slamming shut all night , dirty linen left on top of stairs all night

Really disappointing, we had a room with a view over a scrap area, that was messy as well as being ugly. The food was awful for dinner, the bar staff were sad, we weren't notified about the pool being closed.

Nearly cancelled due to bad reveiws.
Nearly cancelled due to bad reveiws. Stayed one night, staff were lovely, beautiful and spotless room. Grounds of the hotel were wonderful, didn't have food or breakfast, so I can't comment on those.
A delightful, traditional old hotel, just as we'd expected. All the staff were very helpful. We arrived at 8am from an overnight flight, purchased an excellent breakfast, and asked if we could check in as soon as our room was ready. We were delighted they were able to arrange the early check in for us.
We had delicious evening meal and there was a good choice of wines and beers,
The staff were lovely so helpful. The staff at breakfast were exceptional, one lady was so cheerful and smiled all the time she set us up for the day. Saying that all staff were lovely. Food was excellent and priced well. My only moan was seeing a lovely old building going to rot, needs lots of work on the outside especially as two brewers has such a history in Chipperfield.
Beautiful room and gorgeous surroundings. We went in a family room and had so much space for two small toddlers and a baby. Hotel staff were very helpful and overall great value for money. We are already planning our next trip back
The hotel is in a good, quiet location but very handy for our meeting in Watford. The breakfast was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Overall more enjoyable than a big chain hotel for an overnight stay.
Location was ideal to Hunton park hotel for a wedding reception. Breakfast was lovely, full English. Room was good for 1 night stay. Comfortable bed, had everything you need for a short stay.
