Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.
The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.
Very vibrant and great people. Lots of pubs have no price lists or hard to find. This would at least give you a guide as prices can change dramatically from one bar to another. €9-50 to €6-50 a pint of Guinness within walking distance of each bar.

Dublin is Ireland's capital and biggest city.
Dublin is Ireland's capital and biggest city. Downtown is very busy, in oarticular in the shopping district and the pub&bar district 'Temple Bar'. Museums are (mostly) free, public transport is great, but the city is also small enough to be fully walkable. The locals are very friendly and helpful, variety of food and restaurants is very good. For a unique experience try a fish-and-chips shop (Leo Burdock claims to be the oldest in town) or sample one of the many, many pubs.

Dublin is the perfect city - everything in one place, within easy reach. Public transport is easy and easy to understand. The people and the whole atmosphere of the city is friendly and open - it has a great vibe. We loved the houses, all the greenery, lots of seagulls! A 20 minute train ride takes you out to the ocean, beautiful walking trails, cozy seashores.... In the evenings, it's definitely worth hitting the bars on the pedestrian streets, great atmosphere and live music!

A great atmosphere and everything close enough together to do on foot. Museums are free which offsets the relatively high prices in the city. A wide range of restaurants and bars. Guiness tastes especially good in its native city. Airport is up to date although it could do with a DART link. A modern European city with a good buzz.

Trinity college library is incredible, pubs in Temple Bar amazing and the Guinness Storehouse exceptional.
Buy tickets for the Dublin Express coach from the airport to save a fortune in cab/Uber fares. It's swift and the city drop off point is near Trinity and Temple Bar.
Took a luas tram from Guinness back into town. Buses cannot accept the tap of a card. You will need a visitors pass from the Post Office or CASH in the exact amount, which I loved. Great public transport.
This is easily the best hotel I've stayed at in Ireland (and I've been to a few). The room has all the facilities you may need and more, and is impeccably kept. Breakfast has plenty of choice and is abundant. Location is right in the heart of Dublin and makes a great base to travel around (although the city centre does get rather dodgy at times). The price was pretty reasonable for Ireland (although it's usually much higher). Staff are usually helpful. Restaurant was also good.
Great location:
- not directly in the city centre but Dublin centre so easy to reach via bus or on foot
- close to many services (restaurants, pubs, supermarket, coffee shops...)
Nice staff, helpful when asked questions about the busses and the services in general.
Bar/restaurant directly below the hotel (not been there tough, I cannot review it)
Ideal for a weekend trip in the city.
Clean modern hotel at an affordable price in Dublin City centre, just steps away from the red Luas line. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful. Stylish hotel which is good value. A rare gem. Will definitely be back.
Prefect Hotel if your going to the 3 arena for a gig, between city centre and the 3, restaurants and cafes beside it. The room was lovely and spotless, breakfast was spot on. Would definitely book again if staying in Dublin.
Great location in the city centre! The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Very nice hotel to end my stay in Ireland. Bathroom was clean and had full-size bath.
