I could not hear the airport noise so that was excellent. BUT the noise inside the hotel was disgusting. I could not sleep for all the noise inside. I could hear talking, suitcases being dragged, door banging. The walls are paper thin inside and not worth anything.

Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon.
Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon. We stayed here on our first night in Iceland going straight from the airport to the Blue lagoon then checked in. Not a lot here but there’s a pretty church here Tip: don’t buy supplies in the airport shop - we stocked up & it cost us a fortune. There’s a Netto in Grindavík

Grindavik is a small, beautiful fishing village close to the Geldingadalur volcano (but not too close) and the Blue Lagoon. It has many excellent hiking opportunities and great restaurants. Grindavik is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. Whale-watching, fishing, mountaineering, very friendly people, safe environment, you name it, Grindavik has it all!

Great location for Meradalir.
Great location for Meradalir. Fabulous fish and chips at Papas - Grindavik is a fishing town, so all fish is fresh that morning. Lovely walking around the town. Very peaceful. Great for exploring south coast and peninsula. Only 25 mins from Keflavik.Lorraine - Scored 1010

We stopped for one night during our Iceland tour to visit the Blue Lagoon and Fagradalsfjall, the volcano that erupted in 2021 and is still smoldering several months later. Grindavik is a working fishing village with a few local restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy, so is a really good spot to stay for a day when touring Iceland. It is not touristy though so don’t expect lots of shops selling the usual.Matthew - Scored 2.02.0

This is a dock terminal terrible views, bad aspect for tourists, cabin super smaill no microwave, no waste basket in bathroom, nothing to sweep with, place is creepy, huge caping yard nezt to the property that makes it seem dangerous. Grindavik is a lovely town with a huge fisherman history. It's super close to the Blue lagoon and volcano so, there are many options for hiking or relaxing. There's a grill place with a super nice man who told me a little about the history and life of Grindavik's people and he also sells awesome hotdogs. Wish I could've stayed longer but a huge storm came so I had to run away :)DenisaSlovakia

The room itself was wery clean, equiped with towels, coffee, tea and with shared nice and clean bathroom and kitchen(looks new). All you need for one and even more nights, because from this place you can visit south, southeast of Iceland and Golden Circle as well. We used it as a starting point to travel arpund Iceland.

The location is great in terms of how close it is to Keflavik Airport but there wasn't too much of interest to us as photographers in the area. There is a lighthouse and harbour a stones throw away which can be interesting. As a massive bonus the accommodation was very warm, clean and welcoming. We stayed during late winter and it was extremely cold outside.
