Beautiful beaches, pretty easy to get around town, everyone working at different businesses (locals) we're very courteous and super friendly. Clean roadways, and beaches. Boardwalk and AJ sunset dolphin cruise was outstanding! But to short😥 crew was very cool and took time for each kid on board. The Big Kahuna water park was a good decision for us to be able to stay in the water on a red flag beach day. Meals are very pricey but still good quality, delicious food.

The whole place is beautiful. Loved the food, the beach, the tourist attractions, the mall, most of the people, and the colors. Parking is a major issue that needs to be looked into by the city, and prices were extremely high, but some of the places were well worth it like The Back Porch. Destin was way more expensive than I realized.
Destin was way more expensive than I realized. I felt like Hawaii prices. Taxes and fees were 100 percent. The room was $750 the taxes and fees were $750. The taxi from the airport was $120 each. I car is a necessity. Destin was ok. The Sandestin golf and beach resort is too big a property. Can’t walk anywhere. 6 min car ride for morning coffee across a busy highway. I always choose a resort for easy access to food drinks and help with luggage. Shouldn’t say resort when booking. It’s a privately owned condo like air B and B but more expensive so they call it a resort. Staff we only saw at check in once and was rude and not helpful. Got lost for over an hour trying to find our building. Never anyone around to help. Stay at the Hilton next to the supposed Sandestin resort. It’s a real deal resort. The tiny section of beach for this massive property is so overcrowded during the day it’s impossible to even walk the shoreline till after dark. Destin is a great city.
Destin is a great city. We always enjoy dining out the various resturants as well as the beautiful beaches. The one thing I found annoying was the restaurants now adding a surcharge for using a credit card. I find it petty and disheartening for resturants to do this. I imagine a large portion of thier customers use credit cards since they are mostlikely on vacation. At this point, the surcharge is just another tax that is being put on travelers. Resturants should adjust thier food prices expecting the use of credit cards rather than charge the customers.AAnonymous - Scored 1010
Destin is awesome.
Destin is awesome. Be ready to pay $20 for 4 hours parking unless you stay on the beach. Make sure you enter the beach through public access because if you enter through private property no where to set up your tent. Always enjoy the beaches in Destin!AAnonymous - Scored 1010
This is the most beautiful beach we have ever been to!
This is the most beautiful beach we have ever been to! I would 10 out of 10 recommend this location if you do nothing other than go to the beach! We went to the Big Kahuna water park one day and that was also a lot of fun! Dat Burrito Place was one of our personal favorite eating places! Merlin's Pizza was also very yummy with great service! The Yard Milkshake Bar is a really fun place to go for dessert and they offer plain milkshakes without all the frills if you don't want one of the specialty items.ElizabethUnited States
