Lake George is a tourist town with a lot of the same things in most shops, with a few unique shops. We usually avoid L.G. proper and go to the surrounding wineries. This time we went for the Wine & Food fest and was not disappointed at all.Mazzone - Scored 6.06.0

Lake George is an amazing place to relax, breathe, and enjoy a vacation. I enjoy walking around the lake, riding a boat tour to explore the lake, and seeing the fancy houses surrounding the lake. Also, you can swim on a little beach with a view of the mountains and the lake.

Lake George is very pretty and there is much to do. Very popular and something for everyone. Many places to eat which we enjoyed very much (i.e. The Boardwalk and The Lagoon.). Lake George is truly beautiful we drove around it and enjoyed the forests and small scenic villages. We did not like the Village of Lake George which is fast becoming a tacky beach town with countless tee shirt shops and noisy restaurants. The highlight of our trip was visiting Sagamore Resort, reflecting the early days on the lake.
