I absolutely loved the hotel's central location! But what really caught my attention was the hotel's decor - it's truly one-of-a-kind. The mix of colors and patterns is so eclectic and charming, blending modern and traditional elements with a hint of retro flair. The overall effect is a visual feast that's both contemporary and nostalgic at the same time. It's a true delight for the eyes

A Birthplace of Independence And a Public Art Mecca
The birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn. The name of the city translates to City of Brotherly Love and the city itself is a vibrant mix of history, art and culture.
Philly, as it is commonly called, is famous for its public art with more sculptures and murals than any other city in USA. Seeing the best graffiti and statutes won’t break the bank balance as you can join many free tours and admire them absolutely free of charge!
It’s also home to many national historical sites with the Independence National History Park as a starting point and centre for all the major landmarks, including the Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Liberty Bell is located, the symbol of the American Revolution.
Visit the world’s largest urban landscaped park, the Fairmount Park with over 37 km² of green area. There are plenty of paths and hiking trails and after that, enjoy some local specialities: a cheesesteak sandwich, a soft pretzel or some Tastykake snacks.
Arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, you’re only a 20-minute ride from the city centre. Booking.com offers a variety of hotels in downtown Philly, near the airport or for the sports enthusiasts, near the Wells Fargo Center.

The downtown area is ok, inc the historical district (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell etc). Transport is easy from the main station into the centre. Feels safe.
Lots of vagrancy in the town centre - more than we’ve seen for a long time - and noisy. Stick to the main tourist areas. Don’t go out at night for a walk.
The waterfront is under development. No easy access to it - a long hot walk. And not very interesting when you get there. There’s a boat across to the other side. There’s almost nothing to see when you get there apart from the aquarium.

Of course, all the historic spots are classic: Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin's print shop. There are also great museums devoted to history: the Museum of the American Revolution, the Weitzman museum, the Ben Franklin Museum. There are also great art museums: PMA and the Barnes. Food is excellent: the cheese steak of course but great Italian, Spanish, Chinese restaurants as well. The fantastic Reading Terminal Market!

Philadelphia International Airport is the worst I have been in. American Airlines has terrible service left us stranded without information or baggage 4.5 hours on the tarmac. Baggage handlers had left even though they knew there were several American airline flights stuck on tarmac.

Book in advance for Independence Hall.
Book in advance for Independence Hall. The Phlash bus loop is a good way to get around the central part of the city. It's cheap and free for seniors.
The piers are overrated. You can't even get a coffee there. Nice views though.

Excellent Location, very close to the Center City, And a lot of Historical Places! Never in all my trips through the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, or Europe did I see a Supervisor or manager, even the 5 Start Hotels, do the job with such adherence to the rules, but also with a vocation for service, attention and perhaps I can say love Apples Hostels have that person and Her name is JULIA LANZARO, thank you so much.
