Boasting many national treasures, Washington DC is the US capital and home to the world’s most iconic presidential building – The White House. Most visitors start at the National Mall, a huge park stretching from the Potomac River to the Capitol Building. It also encompasses the Washington Monument obelisk and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, of particular significance in US civil rights, commemorated by the latest addition - the Martin Luther King Memorial.
Also here are 11 of the city’s 17 incredible Smithsonian museums, including the unmissable National Museum of American History.
If all this gets too much, wander around Georgetown’s Colonial buildings and take a break in one of the student cafés. Many world cuisines are represented in Washington DC and the city also has its fair share of live music venues, with a surprisingly good jazz scene. The National Symphony Orchestra is based here and the Kennedy Center hosts a range of productions.
DC’s planning policy means there are no skyscrapers, so if you fly into Washingon Dulles Airport over the city, you see its white buildings standing proud. The city is also served by Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall Airport and Washington National Airport. All are quite a way out, so leave plenty of time to get there from your hotel, apartment or guest house booked through Booking.com.

Amazing city with tones of museums, quite all free..... A lot of people everywhere.... I was there in the same time as NATO Summit, so a lot of traffic as well in the city with some streets and some places I wanted to visit closed... People are very friendly everyone BUT the bus drivers, impossible to ask for direction or something else, they look at you as you asked for their life.....
Love DC, will come back for sure...

The National Mall is the anchor of the city.
The National Mall is the anchor of the city. Most of the Smithsonian Museums, which are free to visit, are located around the Mall.
Most of the "big" monuments are located in the Mall.
The Mall is open 24/7 and nighttime is especially pretty with all the lights.
Food trucks are a great way to have a meal and they too are available all around the Mall.
The Circulator Bus is wonderful for circumnavigating the Mall, plus other points in Washington. Easy to use as each "area" is colour-coded.
Every one was very friendly and helpful.
Water bottle filling stations are throughout the city.

Being in DC for Independance day was great - we got to enjoy the festivities. We were impressed with how considerate everyone was in the city considering how many people were there .
We found a great little Tapas restaurant one night - and also had a night in the restaurant at the hotel - it was a lovely meal, but we were disappointed with the quality of the WAGYU steak which was expensive, and my husband's steak was tough and chewy. Being farmers, we were interested to try American beef, and this was quite disappointing although the flavor of the rest of the meal was very nice.

It was a nice modern apartment with all amenities and great location for foodies. We really enjoyed the roof top garden and loft. The swimming pool at roof top makes it perfect place to live. There's fitness center at second floor for guests as well. I rate this accommodation as 10/10 and recommend the others to consider this place for their stay in Washington DC.

I enjoyed being in DC, but I couldn't see all the museums in 10 days. It would have been better to have been informed about museum hours and attractions during hot weather seasons. There is a wide range of things to see in DC.
I enjoyed my stay immensely. My room was clean, big, the bathroom and walk in shower were also big and I slept very well even though I usually travel with ear plugs anyway. The strong box was useful to keep valuables in and I was able to charge my phone right by the bed too.
As a solo traveller, this hotel was a cheaper option to many other 4 star hotels in DC.
Dupont Circle/Adams Morgan is a lovely neighbourhood.
I give the hotel 8/10 and I was happy with my choice. The staff were all kind, helpful and polite. Thanks.
Such a comfortable place in a great location. My colleague and I stayed here for a conference in Walter E. Washington Center, and it was super convenient. There is a Giant grocery store less than 10 minute walk away, too. We've stayed at a different place before, but this one is much better and also cheaper! We will very gladly come back!
It’s a great space with friendly staff - the Irish lady on reception was very welcoming and professional - I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone whether they’re in Washington DC for business or please. Amazing food in the restaurant too.
Location near White House and not far away from main attractions (museums etc.). Easy to get to and from hotel using public transportation. Quiet room. Wifi was good in my room. For this price and location it was very good value.
Brillant staff, very helpful . Hotel easy to get to from Union Station. Very clean , rooms lovely. A very Irish hotel in Washington. Dubliner pub added bonus !
