Loved the hotel setting and the staff were super friendly and more than helpful. Room was a little outdated but I like the vintage style. The little shared garden attached to the room was lovely. There was a really lovely lady on reception that got us a dinner reservation in the Italian restaurant as I hadn't previously booked. She got us an early setting as we were travelling with my 16 month old. Lots of parking, ease of getting around. We also spoke to a different lady on reception in the evening who was more than helpful with getting me some milk for my daughter. She let us know about using the pool the following day after we check out also.

Comfortable and big apartment. Good location, 15 min walk to the Glendalough National Park, 3 min to the bus stop, 2 min to the restaurant (good food) and 1 min to a convenience store. Friendly staff (especially the Hungarian lady :) Nice garden.
I start with the biggest pros. The hostel is in the best place you can think of when you want to visit Glendalough. If you travel alone to Glendalough and you are a little on the budget, its the best option. Also, it's very convenient that the bus stop is very close. If you by food ahead you can cook later, the kitchen looked well equipped.
Excellent location for our two-nights stay ! 20 minutes walk to Glendalough where the hiking trails begin.
The hotel is charming, we had one of the rooms located in the garden, it was very quiet. Wi-fi is included. Breakfeast is not included, we had one in the associated restaurant wich was very good.
What a lovely hotel ! The location is perfect for visiting Glendalough park ; even though it;s on a (not overly busy ) highway , our room was quiet and peaceful - we had the windows open to the sound of a stream on the property , very nice ! Also the food was exceptional , Aunty Biddies Guinness stew was the best we've tasted in Ireland , and the service was quick and friendly . Will need a return trip I think !
The location of the Glendalough hotel is amazing. It is right beside the national heritage site of Glendalough, literally only metres away. Wonderful walks around the whole area.
I travelled with my teenage son, and ordered a twin room. It was spacious and clean.
As the reviews for the hotel restaurant were so bad, we booked our meals elsewhere. The village of Laragh is less than 2kms away, and I would highly recommend the Wicklow Heather restaurant. Superb. Book in advance.
We also ate at Lynams of Laragh, ok pub grub, live music.
We had a wonderful time at Heather House and we could have easily stayed another night or two! Erica was so welcoming and kind, and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The apartment we had was perfect - clean, great view and comfortable beds. This location is near Wicklow National Park and Glendalough (about 20min walk away). The bonus is how close Heather House is to The Wicklow Heather restaurant.
The room was very big and comfortable. There were lots of spacious lounge areas, which many modern hotels just don’t have. Food was very good and service was very friendly. Ideally located for Glendalough, and only an hour and a bit from the port in Dublin.
Very comfortable private apartment in a great location close to Glendalough to services in Laragh village. Hosts were available and very friendly. Comfortable bed, excellent shower. Breakfast in room is very convenient.
