The location is extraordinary, very close to the Colosseum, Bocca della Verita and other tourist attractions.
The inner courtyard is impressive, making it a pleasure to enjoy a coffee in peace. Putting back into the tourist circuit a building that was formerly a monastery is truly an achievement. The accommodation provides all the necessary amenities for a quiet and comfortable vacation.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, being very responsive to any requests, no matter the time of day or night.

Coliseum
The gore! The glory! This iconic arena specialised in sticky ends. Built in the 1st century, it could hold up to 80,000 spectators, who would come along to witness gladiatorial combat and bloody re-enactments of naval battles. As you look up at the stands, it doesn’t take a huge leap of the imagination to hear the deafening roar of the crowds, or to picture the spectacular savagery on show.

Humongous structure that will be sensed only when you are in front of it and or inside. A very nice visit with the museum inside the Colosseum as well. But you have to know from which door or entrance you can enter before going there.

Please pay attention, there were tour guiders, confirming a comprehensive tour with around 58 EUR per person, we bought it, we were given and limited knowledge guide with a limited speaking English. The tour should have taken 1,5 hours, it took only 18 min with extremely inefficient.

A great landmark to visit; impossible to miss, actually.
We visited in the evening and ... the city did not have the time to clean the area around the Colosseum after the sea of tourists. Quite dirty, unfortunately.
While admiring the work of the ancient architects and builders, I could not forget that it is a place of death :(
Do not miss the Arch of Constantine, located meters away!

Colosseum & Forum were amazing but tickets were sold out by the time we went to book them. We could have signed up for a tour but they were pricey and we prefer to walk around on our own time and not be stuck with a group. A great alternative was signing up for a ParCo membership (CoopCulture website). More expensive than the regular tickets but cheaper than a tour and we got inside the Colosseum first thing in the morning. Just go to the lineup for ParCo members and they'll direct you to the ticket counter where you get your passes which is good for 1 year.

Really close to the coliseum. Daniele was really helpful and was always trying to make our stay comfortable. The room was really comfy and clean as well as the bathroom
The hotel location was good, close to public transport and a walkable distance away from the Coliseum. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly, even offering us to store our suitcases for free on the day of our departure in the hotel if we want to explore some more before we leave Rome, which considering it's proximity to Termini is a great offer. The rooms were clean and contained all the amenities. The room had a beautiful view of the old Rome streets through the window.
The room was well presented and modern
Shower room was adequate and clean and tidy.
The staff were pleasant and helpful
The position of zefiro Home was great for the coliseum and other attractions were only a short walk.
Overall a very pleasant place to stay
We liked the fact that it was in the heart of Rome, and not far to the Coliseum. It was safe and comfortable and the Managers were very helpful. We were there quite early and they stored our luggage.
This is a perfectly placed apartment a stone throw away from the coliseum it was clean well spaced and benefits from the Air conditioning. We felt safe and secure as there is 2 electric gated doors to get threw before you reach the apartment. Alex is a great host is we ever return to this beautiful country we would be staying here if its available
The location was great right outside the coliseum, nice lively area with great views. The room was so pretty, nicely decorated with complementary items free of charge. It was all worth the money the bathroom was clean and very aesthetically pleasing. Would a million percent recommend for 2-3 friends or a couple.

In the book store of the colosseum you can take a look at some graphic illustration(it's kinda cartoon like) overlaying on the photo of the ruins
It's amazing to walk inside the colosseum and imagine how things were few thousand years ago. In the book store of the colosseum you can take a look at some graphic illustration(it's kinda cartoon like) overlaying on the photo of the ruins. It really brings history alive when you're looking at those old stones alongside with those graphic illustration. (We actually bought that book because it's pretty cool!)

Because it's not a big city and there is so much to see when wandering between the 'big-ticket' sites like the Colosseum and the Parthenon. Walking allows you to come across the tiny pizzerias and cafes which you'd never see if you were on a tour bus or in a car.

We paid 24 Euro total for my family (children free) to gain access to the Palatino, Roman Forum, and Colosseum
I suggest visiting the city outside of the summer months. My family went during Christmas and though there were crowds, they were small. I can only imagine the lines and congestion in the summer. Also, if you really want to go to the Colosseum, get your combined ticket at the Palatino first! We paid 24 Euro total for my family (children free) to gain access to the Palatino, Roman Forum, and Colosseum. Worth it when I saw the crazy line into the Colosseum and we just walked past it all.

When going to the Colosseum, choose the Palatine Hill ticket entrance to avoid long queues at Colosseum entrance
We went second weekend of November, lucky with sunshine and temp was 20 degrees, so comfortably warm and just into their winter season so fewer tourists. Avoid visiting churches on Sundays as services in progress means restrictions. Mondays some museums closed. Get a tour guide for some things, essential for the vatican, otherwise it is a visual overload with no time to consult the info, so much better to listen as you look. Vatican is always crowded so easier to follow your guide and also prepaying means you avoid the huge queues to buy tickets. Angel Tours highly recommended. When going to the Colosseum, choose the Palatine Hill ticket entrance to avoid long queues at Colosseum entrance.
