Great hotel. Great location, super cosy. Only thing to note though is very, very steep stairs (not uncommon in Amsterdam). We had a baby and it was ok but would be difficult for elderly guests.

The breakfast was very good. The position in the middle of the 9 streets is great. The distance to my favorite Pub "Gollem" is great as well. Good connections, although we had the bad luck that in Leidsestraat there were improvement activities on the tramway.

Ugh. If you're into Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks and Burger King on every corner you've found your place. Otherwise, honestly, skip it. There's a lot of history here, obviously, but it was lost in the crowds and the clutter. Sad.

On Dam Square, the Royal Palace exterior looks grotty but inside it was amazing. Pay an entry and be well pleased with what you get to see. The audio device was too soft for me but just follow the signs and look for yourself.

Worth a visit to see the different architecture in the city which then leads onto the large shopping area and department store. We went November and everywhere was starting to display their windows and the streets ready for Christmas, lovely atmosphere.

Do.Not.Give.Money.TO THE PIGEON GUYS.
Pigeons are filthy, the numbers of people we saw covered in pigeons asking their friends to take a picture is, yuck, feeling nauseous just typingg it.
I rephrase it, you can give them money cause they obviously need it but for the love of god don't count "getting assaulted by pigeon" as a Dam square attraction.

This was a good hotel. Location was perfect for us, just 10-15 minutes on tram to get to Rembrandt or Dam Square.
Breakfast was poor to be honest, I did not like it at all.
Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Corridor areas in hotel had a very musty stench. Not nice.
Rooms were clean and fresh. Good comfortable bed.
The location of this Hotel is excellent! It is right off of Dam Square and close to shopping, food, and entertainment. The breakfast was pretty good and there was an assortment to be had. The hotel staff were very nice and there was a 24hr attendant at the front door\reception.
The hotel is located no more than 300 metre from Dam Square and around 15 minutes walking from the Central Station. The batroom and the batroom are very spaceous.
The apartment is so sweet and quiet.
Jorge greeted us when we came and explained what needed about the facilities, he was available throughout our stay.
The location was great, about 20 walk from the dam square and very easy to get around by trem, the station is just a few minutes from the apartment. Alao, just a few minutes away there's lots of restaurants.
The view from the living room is so nice. It's a great place for couples, very relaxing. We definitely recommend it
This hotel is in a great location 7 minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal train station and Dam Square. The room is above the pub and pretty clean. My room had an ensuite, I did notice what looked like a shared bathroom on the landing below. Stairs are very steep and this hotel would not suit anyone with mobility issues. Check in is the pub and the staff are extremley friendly.
Ideal hotel location, just in 1 minute from metro, closely to the Dam square (10 minutes for a walk).
Very helpful and hospitality staff.
Perfect room cleaning.
Location was central and is only a minutes walk to Dam square. The room was basic and quite small. The ensuite was difficult to move around in due to it being very small. However, the room was very clean and the beds and towels were refreshed every day. Breakfast was lovely and you can eat as much as you want. The food in the hotel restaurant was also very nice.

Visit The Nine Streets 'De Negen Straatjes' for unique boutiques with the odd Abercrombie shop. I love the shoes here, try United Nude-pop up shops scattered around right now. If you take a detour from the main shopping strip leading to Dam Square, there are a number of smaller shops for the more particular shopper. My favourite was what looked like a small musical instrument shop, but turned out to be huge. There was also a retro computer game shop that was a little expensive but had an amazing array of consoles and games.

Stay off the beaten track and away from places like Dam Square and the Red Light District
Stay off the beaten track and away from places like Dam Square and the Red Light District. There are plenty of small cafes and restaurants close to the canals. Look for where the local people go to eat and take recommendations from your hotel. Always worth checking out the restaurants in the Internet before you go and always try to book
